Milked that till he got the 5 then walked away.

More likely that the trainers made him stay down and still until they made sure it was safe for him to move. Didn't look like a major or a CFB to me, but he definitely hit the boards awkwardly.

it was in no way close to a CFB...he hit him in the shoulder.

Get over it people, if a UND guy had hit the boards like that you'd be whining the other way. It was a tough hit, probably should have been two, not five, but we let in a soft goal. Get over it, and lets get back to putting up numbers.

The difference is I don't think one of our players would lay down for five minutes then score a powerplay goal. Thats what the issue is.

Did you see either play? Ausmus pushed him, he was off balance, not Ausmus' fault! The goal hit a bad spot in the boards and bounced out, hardly letting in a soft goal!

Could you tell it came off the boards. I think it came off the netting over the glass. Looked like the dump in went up quickly at the blue line

You realize the trainer make them stay down right? Its not even their choice; they hit the boards like awkwardly, they have to stay still until the trainers tell them to get up. I don't deny diving and cheap crap happens, but if you see the way he hit the boards, they were just making sure he was ok. The trainers don't care about penalties, their jobs and licenses and futures are on line if they don't follow protocol.

How is Gage still playing if he got a 5?

Because a five minute major doesn't end your night. He sat for five minutes, his penalty was done so he can play again. Same as a two-minute minor.
