gfhockey Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 oh yeah if we are done by 28 or more I am out. Along with my tailgate party also. No reason to stay unless you like to see your fav team get beat down even more whil half of them have a dance competition on the sidelines. Quote
NewUNDAlum Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Umm "The Bearded Warrior, The Force of the Norse, The Dakota Hammer" THE Jimmy Kleinsasser for Head Coach. JIMMY! JIMMY! JIMMY! JIMMY! Quote
NDSIOUXFAN1 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Seriously....stop bringing up ex-UND coaches! If they coached at the DII level we don't want them! We need DI experience....end of story! So you want to hire a current D-1 coach? What is wrong with a successful D-2 or D-3 coach? I promise you this, there are high school coaches that are far better than some or many D-1 coaches. Some choose family over traveling from state to state coaching, trying to work their way up the coaching ranks and dealing with continually looking for their next job. Remember that every coach starts somewhere and few start at the D-1 level. If you want to build a strong program, you need to find a guy that has done it and wants to do it again at the next level, not a cast off from a upper level program. On top of that, you need to also find a coach that is familiar with and has relationships within the 5 state area. Getting some big name coach from Florida or Texas and doesn't know the area will struggle to recruit talent in his own backyard. Quote
darell1976 Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 Anyone want a head coaching job...we can't do any worse. Quote
UND92,96 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Glenn Caruso. He should be on the short list, along with Hazelton and a few others. I also think Faison has to at least give Tibesar a call. Quote
bisoninnwmn Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Glenn Caruso. Actually, he is a great coach. Would be a very good fit at UND. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Actually, he is a great coach. Would be a very good fit at UND. That's why I brought the name up. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I'm all for Scottie Hazelton or Glenn Caruso. Pssh mine was way before yours. That's why I brought the name up. Quote
UND92,96 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Brooks Bollinger. Maybe his dad could take a sabbatical from BSU and accept the interim job? Quote
bisoninnwmn Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 That's why I brought the name up. Stoop that low to take a former Bison assistant.... Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Stoop that low to take a former Bison assistant.... Sometimes you have to hit bottom ... Quote
bisoninnwmn Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Sometimes you have to hit bottom ... In all seriousness...he is a great coach. If EWU does the same thing that the Griz and Cats have done, I suspect Muss will definitely feel the heat. No reason UND should be getting beat like this. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Fantasy coaching staff.. HC/DC/DL Hazelton LB Digger and/or Schmidt CB/S somebody TE/OL coach Kleinsasser w/ Lotysz RB coach Roehl WR coach Bellmore QB/OC Bollinger Quote
Wilbur Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Hazelton would be a dream type situation. I think the guy is in line for a possible DI FBS job somewhere along the line with the success that he has had. I still think Tibesar wouldn't be a bad option. If he wants to be a head coach. Quote

I don't think the math works there financially with Tibesar, even if he was interested. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I'm waiting to see what the post game presser is like. Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I was going to buy tickets to the NAU game. UNA 28 - Montana 3 in 3rd qtr. Will save my money. Skipping EWU game, just can't bare to watch. Quote

mg2009 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I don't think mussman is particularly good at evaluating talent. Remember that really good backup QB last year that someone sat on the bench the prior two years of mediocre at best? what happened to the team that rallied back against SDSU? ANYWAY I'll throw a name out there for an assistant: Grant Olson. Quote
gfhockey Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I doubt faison has the kahunas to do anything... Hes taken a lot of heat lately...from the failure of the nchc to this crap Quote
