bincitysioux Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I sure hope you are right. Given all the injuries the Bobcats have to deal with, the fact the game is in the Alerus, I'd be normally be more optimistic than I am had North Dakota at least put up a fight against the Griz. I admit I saw good things from the Sioux against a very good SDSU team, but I saw nothing from them against Montana that would make me think we can stay with one of the better Big Sky teams, which of course, Montana St. is.................. UND Fan Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 From what I understand, MSU's offensive line and RBs are healthy. As I say each week, I hope I am wrong but..... MSU 37 UND 24 Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 This was posted on Bobcatnation. heard from a very reliable source that DeNarius McGhee was throwing and taking reps at @MSUBobcatsFB practice today #msubobcats Quote

Nodak78 Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 That is exactly why they closed practice. We will not know until Sat. Quote
WalkOn79 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Cats 35-31. I just think Jake Bleskin is about to break loose and lead this team to his first FCS win. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 If McGee is taking reps it says they don't feel confident they can beat us without him or they'd give him the week to rest. Quote
WalkOn79 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 And I would be shocked in DeNarius played in this game. Quote
WalkOn79 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 If he can throw in practice, I think that would be good for rehab and arm strength. Doesn't mean they would put him in harm's way in a real game. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 The other option is that they want UND to prepare for both QBs. Quote
jodcon Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 They'd be crazy to bring him back already from a separated shoulder, he'd be one hit from being done for the year. Unless it wasn't exactly what they said it was...hmmm. Quote
WalkOn79 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 The other option is that they want UND to prepare for both QBs. No doubt that is part of the strategy with the closed practices. I also think you'll see many wrinkles in the offensive play-calling (No matter who is under center) and defensive alignments. As Tanner Bleskin stated in a feature article this week, "every game from now on is the Big Sky Championship" Quote
Matt Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 MSU is foolish if they bring him back. The UND defense has been like the Vikings D-the cure for whatever is ailing you. If Bleskin is worth a damn he performs well vs UND. I suspect this is a bluff. Quote
mksioux Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 They'd be crazy to bring him back already from a separated shoulder, he'd be one hit from being done for the year. That assumes the UND defense is capable of laying one hit on him. Quote
jodcon Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 That assumes the UND defense is capable of laying one hit on him. Ouch Quote
mg2009 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 the more i look at this game, and the more it becomes apparent what bad shape MSU is in. My head is telling me UND should win this game convincingly, but i still just can't believe it Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I'm making no prediction for this team. I still have no clue who we are on offense or defense. There have been flashes of greatness and flashes of ineptitude. I'm not sure we can celebrate much if we do beat MSU with how their roster looks at the moment. If UND comes out and is intense and has few mental lapses I will go home a happy camper. Quote

Play hard, limit turnovers and stupid penalties and it could be interesting. On the upside PSU and Poly play on Root tonight. I am interested to see if PSU is a legit contender. Quote

UNDBIZ Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/274253/ UND FOOTBALL: Montana game marks chance to recover from tough non-conference results C'mon Tom Miller. With everybody confusing North Dakota and North Dakota State, you/we should be more cognisant of the names of other universities. 1 Quote

Herd Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 So, "there is a potential for a whole new world of college athletics"? Hey dont go out too far on that Limb. Duh, is all i can say to that. Seems like the Emperor has no clothes when it comes to more than obvious and blanket statements. Sometimes, running the ball, controlling the clock for 5 miutes, getting 2 1st downs and punting it away is a win in a tight game. Limiting the other teams opportunities and giving them a long field can put a defense in a good position and can be just as good if not better than short possession thru the air and trying to score quickly. Need to find your running game. Im looking foward to a good ballgame here. Should be hard fought game. I think top and running will be important as strange as that sounds. Quote
Cratter Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 UND has been looking for its running game for about three plus years. Quote
