Bison Football - Not smart enough to understand

Ok, I can accept that. Just to let you know, it is probable the hockey players who don't have prior records will all receive deferred sentences on their minors and they probably won't have to do any court-ordered community service (unless the judge treats them differently due to being hockey players).

Don't you have to be charges with a crime before you can receive a deferred sentence? Were there even charges filed against them by the GFPD? Were they even involved? (This is a legit question...I am really wondering).

I guess I'm not sure either, I thought they were at least considering filing charges. Typically when a minor goes to the hospital with alcohol issues there are MIC charges....

UND envy has a unique flavor to it. :whistling:

Guess all these national news outlets have the same NDSU envy? What is their flavor?

I don’t think you are smart enough or grown up enough or sophisticated enough to understand what happened here. :whistling:

The 4 underclassmen that the police dealt with in the dorm were all being charged with minors. The team did not announce what their punishment would be at UND. The captains and several others were suspended for a game because of the situation, but were not charged with anything by the State's Attorney. In addition, the entire team will be taking alcohol awareness classes, doing community service and are on a form of school probation.

Throughout the nation, jealousy rages over NDSU's football program.

When people in the nation talk about college football, these names roll off their tongues:

Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, and of course... North Dakota State University.

Yup.

maybe NDSU should hire this coach...

TCU suspended its best player today! Casey Pachall was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, and then was suspended indefinitely by Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson, NBC 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth reported. TCU coach Gary Patterson put out a statement through the school's sports information department, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:

"
has been suspended indefinitely from competition. My job as a head coach is to win games, educate our kids and help them with their lives."

Craig Bohl is the total opposite of this coach. Bohl's job is to win games.

Bohl would never get to a bowl at the FBS level. With what he has proven at NDSU, FBS schools wouldn't touch him anyway. He can be the big fish in the small pond that not many people pay attention to anyway.

Okay genius, then how was it so different from when just months ago we were on the verge of getting kicked out of our new conference, and many bison trolls were on here openly spouting off about how they were happy to see UND struggle and were enjoying the show, getting their popcorn, etc? Also, I know this was mentioned above but you are openly trolling on an opponents board...only delusional superfans do that.

You take the holier than thou approach but in reality you are much, much worse!

I've never been happy with the push to get rid of the Sioux name. I can't speak for others. I've always figured that a serious topic like that belonged to Sioux fans. The same would apply to discipline problems at UND.

Those media outlets MUST all have UND grads/fans working at them. ;)

Hope some of the more creative students latch onto this for the men's bb game - would love to see a cheering section carrying clipboards and dressed as Bison Petition Takers or carrying Best Buy logos. Perhaps the pep band could come up with appropriate songs - Jail House Rock? And you know it doesn't matter that it was a football issue and this is a basketball game - it's about taking every chance to get a dig in (like the good old days when the band used to play Old McDonald).

It will have to wait until 2013 as we play at NDSU this year.

Students can still go to Fargo for the game. 2011 there were quite a few UND students that made the trip. With us winning the game last year, I think there would be plenty of UND fans (including students) that are feeling pretty confident about our team and think we can beat them. Oh...and to go down there and remind them who won the game last year. So, the opportunity to poke a little fun at the situation is still there.

I intend on going ( I am within walking distance of the Fargodome). It should be great especially since both teams are pretty much on even ground (1-1 since the series ended).

There were not very many UND students who made the trip. I am sure more will this time around. I look forward to a variety of insults and chants being directed at them.

The opportunity is there but I can about imagine the reaction on here if the NDSU students got a chant about Kristo's drunken frozen feet extravaganza at a basketball game.

Yeah, I guess you got us there... we'll never be able to live the Kristo incident down. We're kind caught with our pants around our ankles on this one.

I would like to know if there was ever any evidence Kristo's injuries were related to alcohol. I understood he was trying to walk to his girlfriend's apartment and tried a shortcut across Ray Richards Golf Course where his shoes came off in the deep snow and he lost them. Maybe not very smart, but not necessarily drunk. I wasn't there so I don't know for sure. I do know that I read that his frostbite was not a result of being drunk. Anyone know the facts? Always amazes me how the truth gets trampled on blogs. Maybe that was the case, but I was told otherwise.

Just where was he coming from and where was his girlfriends house if he was cutting across Ray Richards?

There are apartments right along the south side of Ray Richards. I believe that he was living in one of those apartments and his girlfriend lived in one of the many apartments west of 42nd Street and north of University Avenue. That would probably be less than a mile walk straight across the golf course, but over a mile if he followed the streets.

I have never seen or heard anything official, or even a substantial report, confirming that alcohol was involved. It has all been unsubstantiated rumors. But a lot of people have assumed that alcohol was involved.
