watchmaker49 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 1200 block. Yeah, I did go to South. Did you guys graduate in 89 or 90? Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 How quickly you forget Ben "If you can't beat 'em, beat 'em up" Blood. I said "BC". What Blood did against UMN-Twin Cities was not acceptable and he was punished. Case closed. 1 Quote
watchmaker49 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Who thinks Bjugstad will even get on the plane home? Quote
minotlovessioux Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I won't rub it in their face, but it so awesome to watch the Gophers get absolutely embarrassed. So awesome. Gopher fans just think they are God's gift to the sport. This is glorious. Agree whole heartedly even though it's BC. Let's hope Ferris State can pull a Holy Cross! Quote
tnt Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Classic, after Gophers goon it up, looked like the BC player said to Mattson to look at the scoreboard, and said something about "captain" (mattson has the C) Yeah, can you imagine if a Sioux player did what Mattson and Condon did? It amazes me that they think they are absolute saints, when they are just as prone to frustrations as any other player. Quote
petey23 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this game but I am not going to be flipping my Gopher buddies too much crap....They are in Tampa our guys are golfing at Ray Richards 1 Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Dave: which loss was harder to take? UND losing to your 2nd favorite team, or your 2nd favorite team losing to BC, a team that you likely dislike because of what they have done to UND. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Who thinks Bjugstad will even get on the plane home? I think this won't be the last game he plays in the state of Florida this year... Quote
watchmaker49 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 89 I don't think I knew anyone that lived between 10th and 13th on Chesnut. I knew someone on every street from Washington to the river but no one on your block. Quote
tnt Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Considering that our team lost 4 of 6 games vs. Minnesota this season, tonight's game is really making us look pretty bad by comparison. Really the difference in the series was very early in the year when Minnesota pulled the comeback out of the second game when the Sioux were still trying to adjust to a short lineup with numerous freshmen and walkons trying to find their roles. Quote
Big A HG Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Remember when we used to be BC If BC wins the whole thing this year, then the answer is no, I don't remember when we used to be BC. BC is on a run right now in college hockey unlike any stretch the Sioux have ever head whether you are talking Gasparini, Blais, or Hakstol eras. Quote
jodcon Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Well I'll be cheering for Ferris Saturday but I don't like their chances, BC would really have to mail it in to lose. Quote
passit_offthegoalie Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 How quickly you forget Ben "If you can't beat 'em, beat 'em up" Blood. You mean Ben "badass mofo that averaged over 30 minutes a game and was probably a +70 or something for his career" Blood? Quote
focker Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Actually, I worry that since it has been a while since UND has won a National Championship, that UND students will try to be cool like the "Big Schools" like Kentucky and Minnesota and pull that kind of crap. They have proven they can be dumb at Springfest, I wouldn't put it past them to mimic the kind of behavior we have seen lately after winning it all. I would hope that when we get to another National Championship game, that the UND administration would be proactive in telling students that kind of behavior will result in severe sanctions. Let's just worry about getting back to the frozen four first before we worry about riots... lol... Quote
focker Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I would imagine probably about as well as we took it two weeks ago. So do you think people on here were melting down after that loss? Seriously? Quote

watchmaker49 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 So do you think people on here were melting down after that loss? Seriously? All I saw or heard from UND fans 2 weeks ago was it was a great season and no whining at all. 1 Quote

Let'sGoHawks! Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 BC has taken their foot off the gas. I like Jerry York, I hate everything else about BC. Quote
passit_offthegoalie Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 So that's what 4 NCs in 11 years for BC? Good god somebodies got to stop them! Before its too late. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 All I saw or heard from UND fans 2 weeks ago was it was a great season and no whining at all. Oh there was some whining on here. The Hakstol haters popped up out of their holes once our game against Minnesota ended. They were a minority though, the majority of peeps on here thought it was a good season. Quote

But the host situation prevented Minnesota from being in Duluth's shoes and having to play BC in a hostile environment instead of neutral ice. It definitely is time to reward higher seeds by going to campus sites for the regionals. Quote

SiouxTupa Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Not only potentially 4 in 11years, but they also made the title game in 06 and 07. Could've been 6 in 11! Not to count out ferris, though, stranger things have happened. Quote
