Never seen this much parity! No cupcakes. Anybody can take this thing.

Lets hope they get it out of their system now. I hope the boys read these blogs. I hope they realize how much UND hockey means to us. I have watched my pro teams win Stanley Cups, Super Bowls, and World Series. NONE of those will ever compare to watching UND win a title. We vent on this board out of frustration. Frustration from seeing the lack of effort. We wouldn't care if we didn't love the program so much and if it didn't mean so much to us. Come on boys!!!! You will basically have home ice next weekend, and we expect nothing less than an incredible effort! WIN IT FOR MAC!!!!!!!!!

Piss poor effort after the goal. Why can't we get up for big games? I'm a huge Hak supporter but this has to change. Unless Zane (and I don't like what I see today) plays out of his mind, we will not make it out of Fargo.

Very true. I fear 5 other NCHC teams before Minny, BUT they are in that class of....no one better to beat, but no one worse to lose to.

1st line scares me now. Complete loss of composure in the 3rd. We were still in that game is what pisses me off. Miami played a little dirty, but we have to be above that. Lose with class. WE are the best team in the country. I will not make excuses for this squad. Make tonight a learning experience and move on. CC is going to play us like it's game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.

There is physical play and their is stupid play. WMU's play was more of the stupid variety last night. Hopefully they continue their hot-headed play tonight. Sioux win 6-2. Not even close.

I think this is simply trying to get a rise out of UM and UND fans. I still think UM will weasel their way out of the Fargo regional. Lucia and the Big 6 will get whatever they want. I think UM's experience against Holy Cross is the reason we don't have schools host regionals in their own barns. The atmosphere in Fargo will be even louder and more intimate than the Ralph. Personally, I want to play them. Hopefully it's just deeper in the tourney (if they make it).

Just a hunch, but I see Lucia whining to the NCAA and not having to go to Fargo. There is no way they want any part of the Fargo Regional.

Is there anything that can even be done? This is going to eventually dramatically impact a key series, the nchc standings, or even a shot at the tourney for a team. What kind of pull does UND have within the NCHC to investigate this? I can expect a super close call to go either way, but this weekend was an absolute joke!!! Goals disallowed, intent to blow the whistle but it was still reviewed, clipping with intent to injure and not ejected, BS goalie interference call.....etc! This has to stop! I am an incredibly biased UND fan, but the bulk of these calls are going against us........

I miss the letsgoDU blog! It just isn't the same without it. Exchanging blows with all six DU fans was awesome. Living in Denver, it just hasn't been the same the past couple years with Magness being 3/4 full. I get so sick of DU fan and their "there's other s**t to do in Denver" BS!

So if someone replaced Hak tomorrow and they won a title next year, we could all agree that it was accomplished with Hak's recruits. I just remember when Hak took the team to the title game about a decade ago, and wasn't given full credit because they were Dean's recruits. The whole thing absurd. We all want to win a title, but it isn't an easy task. It hasn't been an easy task for any coach. Look at the droughts all of the top tier coaches in DI hockey have experienced. You could have the best team ever assembled, but nothing is guarunteed in a one and done scenario. Hak could just as easily have three titles by now if posts weren't hit, and opposing goalies didn't play out of their mind. S&^t happems. Period. Fire Hak when we stop making the tourney and the quality of our recruits decline. Until then we have one of the best coaches in college hockey, and we would be foolish to part ways. Those of you who are bitching are the same ones that would be bitching if Hak had won a title against DU in his first year and hadn't won one since.

(Give or take 10 years) yes, Gwoz and Lucia have won titles but they have had long droughts as well. Hak could have just as easily have 2 titles by now. He's put is in position 5 times. The boys have to execute. I'll join the fire Hak crew when we miss tourneys. Until then, I'll take his recruiting, his winning percentage, and his ability to get us in a position to win titles. They will come. Chill out.

Tourney is one and done. The best team doesn't always win. We have had a bad streak, especially with all our talent. If the playoffs were a series of best if three, we'd have two or three titles under his tenure. Lucia, and Gwoz haven't done a darn thing in ten years and they are equally as talented. Who would you hire? Until I see a talent decline in our recruits, I am on team Hak.

One game at a time. I think we will beat Niagra big, and Hak will have them ready. Having said that, we have to treat this game like we are playing BC or UM. Would I rather play Yale, yes. I will assume UM will win and worry about that after we take care of business on Fri night.

I am sure if BC makes the Frozen Four, they will be the night game. If we make it and BC doesn't we will be the night game.
