Conference Realignments - Take 2

Denial, she ain't just a river in Egypt, getting in the big 12 conference is a big deal in any sport, could you imagine how siouxvolley would spin this if it were und, you would be fbs by April 7th!

How many UND fans were excited when the S&D teams were in Conference USA? I don't think anyone had a thought that the rest of the sports would move to it. So please excuse our lack of enthusism.

Really! That would be the biggest mistake in the history of sports to turn down a big ten invite.

With CBS sports network and being in a conference with 6 teams out of 16 in the NCAA tournament there is no real advantage to the Big 10 hockey conference except to play the Badgers and Gophers every year home and away.

UND hockey to B1G...That would essentailly mean the B1G screwed up, and saying to UND, "We need you." Now the hypothetical really expands: Could UND use that to open door for other programs? That is more likely than NDSU going to Big12 football (unless everyone else on their list to bring in to have playoff declines).  And as much money as it could potentially bring, I would hope the powers that be would tell the B1G to "SUCK IT!"  (DX)  Let them struggle in that wonderful conference they created

That is a pretty BIG selling point though. Can you hear thier AD's begging UND to join?  Asking, "please come kick our @$$ twice a year?"  That is just a great thought!

The way things are now are how they will always be

An FU fan lecturing about how things won't always stay the same. That's funny.

One thing that is continuing to stay the same is the dismal performance of your sports teams.  2014-15 has to go down as the worst in UND history.  Besides hockey ALL the rest have failed. Please keep Faison around for a long time.

And we thank you, Bison Dung, for your continued interest in Sioux sports.

Two women's programs "failing" was not reaching the NCAA tournament. Those are now the expectations. Men's hoops was disappointing, football was improved but work to do.

You forgot the other thing that stays the same, you constantly posting more about UND than most fans. Doesn't even matter if it's true or not right Dan.

NDSU wrassling will go big time with the B12. The Fargodome will sell out with triple headers: men's wrasslin, women's mud wrassling, followed by motocross and Big Wheels through the mud. Big new attraction that will put other college sports to shame.

Of course, Big 12 banners will be strung everywhere. Bville is already counting on that.

Yeah, what a niche sport. How many schools in D1 even offer wrestling anyways?

Just think if all of those schools whose athletic departments would be in the red if it weren't for their wrestling programs - not to mention how great NCAA wrestling is at feeding professional leagues.

Lol since all we have to base wrestling success is the US Olympic team, feel free to see how many of them came from the college ranks.

The Bison posters just keep digging their hole deeper. I will take our niche sport of hockey over their niche sport of wrestling. Which sport put more butts in the seats? Hockey in Grand Forks or wrestling in Fargo? Does anyone have the numbers. I wonder how they compare.
