Interesting. The logo could be some sort of shield/crest with references to the state's/University's history. If done right, I could see that being a possibility. My bet is since the NCAA could care less about the laws we pass about the nickname, they probably aren;t going to let us go till 2015 without a nickname. Also, personally I like the 'Stars' the best of anything I've heard thus far, the question is, does the NHL own rights to the name, or just the image that the North Stars used to use? I am wondering if they will pick a nome with "fighting" in it. I guess it would be a way to keep at least a little bit of the name. Not sure if they will pick a nickname beginning with "S" either. I guess we could be the "Fighting S_____ (S word). that way it will at least sound similar. "Here's your University of North Dakota Fighting Saints Scoring"!!! Has an OK ring to it I guess.
