Wonder if McKamey will stick around with the Vees moving to WHL or if he'll go to USHL...would be nice having him in Fargo to watch him develop closer:

His Dub rights are owned by Victoria, would imagine he goes there unless he really wants to go to the USHL

I’ve mentioned this a few times, but the WHL thing for McKamey seems like a mess from an outsider’s perspective. He is currently on the Penticton Vees, who are moving to the WHL. His WHL rights are with Victoria. Is Penticton just like “okay Victoria you can just have our player who has been playing with us for a year?”  I would love if someone with the WHL would come out and explain how this whole situation is going to work.

I suppose going to the USHL would avoid this mess, but I don’t think it’s super likely.

Yes, it's a confusing situation for sure.  They must have figured something like this would come up when they moved to the WHL.

Andrew O'Neill taken 198th overall by Fargo. Not a great sign for us. Only dressed 1 game at U-18's also.

Schlossman says he’s an NHL pick this summer. I guess we’ll see. Interesting a guy who gets passed up for 197 other junior player would be drafted.

Finally something was mentioned in Schlossman’s article about McKamey’s WHL status. I would guess Penticton had to have known this would be what would happen when they decided to move up to the WHL.

Maybe Grand Forks won't be such a change for McKamey in one sense.  Cowichan Bay is gorgeous, but it's a little isolated in that it's a pretty good ferry ride away from the world that isn't Vancouver Island.

The ushl draft is weird….i believe there’s a thought he won’t be in the ushl next year. Rather the dub. I’m not worried about O’Neil at all. Athletic kid that needs to play a year of juniors. Should go 5-7th rd

Jundt headed to Calgary.  The new normal for the 17 year olds has begun.

Yeah hopefully a year or two in the WHL will help get him up to speed at a higher level.

No idea what his assets or liabilities are, but I wonder if guys that need to develop the offensive side of their game would be good candidates for the CHL, and guys that need to round out their two way game could benefit by playing against older players in the USHL.  Will be interesting to see where college coaches prefer their recruits to play.

Cooper Williams - Saskatoon Blades possibly?

That’s one I was wondering about. Schlossman just tweeted and said it’s someone for the future, not next year so he would fit.
