• Zellers is one goal off of USHL goals lead, but has played 6 fewer games than the leader
• Heil with 8 wins in his first 10 games

Also based on Minnesota high school hockey box scores it looks like Schultz didn't play for Minnetonka this weekend. I take it that means he's playing the full year for Chicago (USHL)? I thought he was doing before/after.

No, he was never doing before/after. Most of Minnetonka’s team from last year is gone so there was no reason for him to return. He will be in Chicago the whole year. 
 

Im wondering if we may see less kids doing before and after. The coach in TriCity isn’t letting any kids on his team do them. So if anyone is wondering why Simpson didn’t do a before and after, that’s why.

Insanely short-sighted on their part. They wasted a tender on him then. Given the choice between the Vancouver Giants and TC Storm...

Looking at the stats, Schultz plays for a Chicago team that cannot score. Leading scorer has 14 pts. Schultz just two off the lead and .01 PPG off the leader. Seems to be adapting well.

Zellers scored 2 goals in first game at WJAC. Assist in game 2 and game 3. Over a point a game.

Heil pitched shut out in 2nd game as well, Hendrickson played 3rd period. Looked really dialed in. 

Laurila has been top D pairing. 

Canadian teams are not the powerhouses of past years. USA beat West team 4-0, East team 8-0.

Team Sweden is the real deal. 🇸🇪 goalie made 10 highlight reel saves. Hendrickson in net for 🇺🇸. Also had a great game. USA lost 5-3, looked a little disjointed & could not get a greasy one past the red hot goalie. Rematch will be the Gold medal game on Sunday.

Ashton Schultz tallied his 14th point in the last 14 games on Friday night for the Chicago Steel.

Schultz is a senior in high school and is eligible to come to campus next season, but he indicated to the Herald when he committed to UND that he plans on playing a couple years of junior hockey.

Team USA won Gold in the WJAC tourney today.  Former player Matt Smaby was the head coach.

UND commits played a big part...
Zellers with 2 goals in the championship game and was named US player of the game.
Heil was the winning goalie and was named to the all-tourney team.

Honestly, we can't target local boys...hockey is better in the top tier 1 programs...thats the SSM route that magnified us

Talked to a buddy who watches him play quite a bit. Said he is kind of like Brodzinski....shoots the puck a lot but usually gets it on net and scores or creates rebound opportunities....gets a little lost on defense sometimes but has grown and is putting on some muscle/weight and is trending up and getting better and better. Wouldn't mind getting his buddy from the same team who is already a great 200 foot player.
