Panzer picked up two assists and finished a plus-2 in the win over Cedar Rapids. The UND commit looked comfortable centering one of Eric Rud’s top lines and he also saw time on both the penalty kill and power play.

If the Stampede want to be successful this season, they'll need a good second year from players like Panzer.

Heil also picked up his first win in net.

Before the season, the feeling I've gotten.

  • 1st Round: Boisvert
  • 1st / 2nd Round: Emery / Heil
  • 2nd / 3rd Round: Swanson / Zellers
  • Laurila (?)

Would it be unrealistic for UND to have 5 go in the Top 75? What a fun year this will be to follow recruits.

You're forgetting Keith McInnis too.  If he has a bounce back year, I could see him being a 3rd round guy potentially.

Singleton still has UND on his Instagram bio but the roster on his team website does not have a commitment listed. I’m sure we’ll get confirmation at some point.

You need a balance of 1-2 year guys and 3-4 year guys. I think Berry and company are doing just that.

Wasn't that in an article recently:
They (Bubs) purposefully recruit for a mix of four-year (likely late bloomers) and one or two-year top enders.

Cole Smith and Tyson Jost were freshmen teammates in 2016. Both are in the NHL; very different paths.

I remember years ago, Minnesota always had much higher rated recruiting classes than UND.   In the end UND held their own, and then some against Minnesota.  Rankings give you a better feeling about your team, but in the end it doesn't measure all of the intangibles a player or recruiting class has.
