Davidson could be playing forward on the fourth line as well. Either that or he is playing for Fienhage.

We've got too be ice cold, no mistakes. They're going to want to take the crowd out of it, so no stupid penalties or early mistakes.

Look for the Gophs to play defense first on all lines but their first.

If Hexy's skating first line with VV and Gregoire, and you can bet that Malone, Trupp and Frattin are staying together, do we have Knight Toews and Kristo together or is Zajac on that line? Maybe Zajac, Lammy and Davidson...hmmmm

I like the looks of those last two lines you got.

Toews centering the 2 Fr. could be very productive.

Zajac's line would be just a physical terror all game long.

I'm sold...UND wins 9-1! :glare:

From Brad:

As for the news, UND coach Dave Hakstol restated that he does not believe that the Sioux have a spot in the NCAA tournament locked up. He said that the Pairwise Rankings this year are a very slippery slope and he thinks the Sioux could be in big trouble if they don't take care of business this weekend.

As far as the lines tonight, Brett Hextall will play right wing on the top line. The junior line will stay together and the third line will be Corban Knight, Darcy Zajac and Danny Kristo. David Toews also will be in on the fourth line, along with Mario Lamoureux and Carter Rowney.

Also, Brent Davidson will play on defense again tonight for either Joe Gleason or Corey Fienhage. Hakstol said he felt Davidson was solid last weekend.

Minnesota's going to be aggressive on the forecheck and try and force our dmen to cough it up.

Best way to beat an aggessive forecheck is to bring the forwards down low on the break out so the passes are shortened up.

Also very useful is having the dman beat the forechecker one on one...c'mon Jake, just outskate the rodent forechecker like we all know you can.

Mac...physical, but contained.

Malone, VV, and Zajac need to use their strength and finish.

Physical play and good passes. Strong positional play to free up time and space for Trupp and Kristo to be creative with the puck.

Toews can draw penalties, Frattin should be flying, Hexy yapping, Gregoire solid both ways.

4 hours...

I say, this weekend, the Ralph wears out the "Chelsea Dagger" recording. Total goals for the Sioux:10. Sioux in two.

Is that what they have been playing over the loud speakers after each goal? We are always all going so crazy after a goal that we haven't been able to figure out what it was.

Guessing Fienhage sits. Gleason will do better against the forecheck.

How the Sioux win:

Stay out of the box

Handle the Gopher forecheck

Make fewer mistakes than the Gophers

How the Gophs win:

Take the crowd out of it

Handle the Sioux physical play

Force turnovers off the forecheck by pressuring the Sioux dmen

Yep, that's the goal song. Same as Chicago Blackhawks use, as I understand it.

Sorry, my attempt at a little pre-game humor! :glare:

Once again, you've captured the key to the game.

I look for the Gophers to come out flying and pressure the Sioux in their own zone. We've had trouble with that all year.

You are correct. During the New Year's Eve tournament in Chicago the team attended the Blackhawks-Devils game. The players loved the song and requested that it be played at The Ralph every time they score a goal.

Let's hope we get to hear "Chelsea Dagger" A LOT this weekend. :glare:

If we know the answers, it is most certain that Hak does too...so...let's execute it. You gonna be at the 5 again? we'll have to connect this year.
