Stack
I know this may seem a little crazy but I looked at the entire Sioux Hockey schedule and predicted all of the games for next year. I thought I'd better post it before the season starts just in case I am clairvoyant. So take a peek and see if you agree or disagree: Of course I've been a little biased in my predictions Here's my predictions: Oct. 3 -- MANITOBA (ex) W (doesn't count on our record) Oct. 9 -- MERRIMACK W Oct. 10 -- MERRIMACK W Oct. 16 -- MINNESOTA W Oct. 17 -- MINNESOTA L Oct. 23 -- at Anchorage W Oct. 24 -- at Anchorage T Nov. 6 -- at Mich. 82SiouxGuy
I predict that the team will have a couple of good games early in the season, but will struggle through much of the early part of the season. They will start to gel around the end of the 1st semester. They will play really well through the last half of the season. They should compete for one of the top 2 or 3 spots in the WCHA. And they will ride the late season success into the national tournament. You know, just another year.
Goon
I predict that there will be a donnybrooke on the weekend of October 16th-17th, also on the weekend of January 15th and 16th Minnesota. I also predict that there will be all this ranting and raving about how the Sioux are a bunch of goons no matter who starts it.

I've never understood how people can predict a tie considering how rare they are.
Stack
6 ties? I've never understood how people can predict a tie considering how rare they are. Last year we had 4 ties. If you take all of the WCHA teams last year and average the number of ties per team, you get an average of 5.9 ties per team in the season. So I guess 6 ties doesn't seem too out of the normal. OETKB
I do this every season. Usually, I'm not too far off. For 2009-10, I've got them with a record of 22 - 11 - 3, which is only the regular season, of course. Given that UND did not lose anyone early, and given the talent level of the incoming forwards, I would expect this team to do well. They could be the sleeper team of 2009. sioux7>5
what about lines, captains? I think VV will be the Captain. I think he would be a great choice. I am more pissed that the Sioux are not going to Madison or Mankato this year. Those are my favorite road trips

The Sicatoka
I predict that there will be a donnybrooke on the weekend of October 16th-17th ... I know what a donnybrook is and I know that "blond" normally refers to males and "blonde" normally refers to females, so, does that mean a donnybrooke is a chick-fight? siouxforce19
Genoway will be captain. The signs have already been there for the past 2 seasons. Vandy and Zajac with the A's...not sure on the other A.

tnt
Do they generally have 4 captains? I thought they normally went with Tri-captains, have they changed that?
siouxforce19
Do they generally have 4 captains? I thought they normally went with Tri-captains, have they changed that? Last year Capt- Dunc A's - Finley, Jones, Watkins Year before- Capt- Kaip A's - Dunc, Chorney, and Oshie (but he got his taken away) Year before THAT- Capt- Porter A's - Toews, Kaip, Fabian * And that's as far back as my semi-photographic memory will go. redwing77
I'm fairly certain that in 2005-2006 it went like this: Smaby - C Not at all sure of who the Assistant Captains are. They could be Prpich, Fabian, Stafford.... Zajac's last year was 2005-6, but I'm not sure he ever wore a letter.
