Is it naive to think Jax will spend a little phone time with Sandy on how to crack Michigan’s nut, which the Dogs nearly did in the third period yesterday?

And yeah, Wisconsin first, but the coaches will be as prepared as possible.

Jax has no pull w/ Sandy, therefore he should recruit gfhockey for that task.

‘97 team won it all after a 10 year absence from contending.  I’m not worried about the experience at F4

The Smurfs of 97!

Michigan and Denver won half their titles in the 50s-60s. The Sioux have won more titles in the last 50 years than anyone else.

Interesting that UND won a championship every decade except the 70s.  It is time for win in this decade.

I was fortunate enough to be going to UND for two of these 1980 and 1982.  Magical time with beating su in football three out of four years and something like a 35 home winning streak in men’s basketball during My four years.

For shits and giggle - who else here were going to UND when UND won two national titles in hockey?  I might know you and you might age yourself!

I was a non-degree seeking graduate student in 2016 spring before I started my formal graduate program in 2017 Fall. Hope that counts as being a student during a Natty title year, because I’m done taking classes lol

This is the point I always try to make to people when UND is down a bit and people are moping or saying "if only we had...." or "if only we could be like...."

UND is the most consistent program in the history of college hockey.  Every other blue blood has a title drought equal to or longer than ours (17 years).  Not to mention title game appearances, Frozen Four appearances, and conference championships.

I went to UND from 1993 to 2000, so I saw two NCAA titles (1997 & 2000).

All 100% true.

However, we have fallen to 3rd place in Nattys. And next week is a golden opportunity to move into a second place tie with Michigan.

I, too, was at UND during that time frame.  Kermit's luck guides our puck.  The battles against Wisconsin were epic.

I was. 1980-1987. And, as I’ve posted here before, I have the original 1982 championship banner from when they auctioned them off following the 1997 flood. Still my favorite team.

post a pic of it

I do not.  I always tried to sit in what I considered to be my "lucky" seat, Section C, Row 12, Seat 7.  It was in the corner, on the student side, so what I imagine was the NE corner of the old REA?  By the time the team moved to the new arena, I had long since departed the Grand Forks area, so I never got a chance at any arena memorabilia.  I got lucky on the banner because my dad was at the sale.
