Popular Post stoneySIOUX Posted 15 hours ago Popular Post Posted 15 hours ago Goodness, just read through this thread after last night.... Holy effing complaining. We won the dang game. This drivel is why most fanbases hate us. - KV has had a rough go of it, for sure. He's 17 years old in his first tournament game. If you can't understand that, you don't understand much about sports. Experience, especially when you are a literal CHILD mentally, is paramount. Only way to get there? By making mistakes. Jax did the right thing and he didn't play much down the stretch last night, but the kid is unbelievably talented - Strinden got hit in the wiener. I absolutely do not think of him as a kid that will take a dive. You could see it on his face on the bench. - Not our best game offensively, but I wholly disagree that we didn't play well in front of Spoons. The last 10 minutes were a clinic on keeping a team to the outside and keeping pucks from the slot For all the whining and moaning we did after last season, you think this place could enjoy a frickin' tournament win. Go get it done tomorrow, boys, so we can complain more... 5 11 Quote

If you want UND to be mentioned in the same category as DU then they need to start winning championships. Another performance like last night and that thread will be started tomorrow night around 8:30. If our season ends tomorrow night, so be it. But I'm still way more optimistic about the future of the program than I was a year ago. And I think the best is yet to come with this coaching staff. 2 8 Quote

This team was essentially built with like 2 months of Bryn's work. Imagine what he can accomplish with a whole year of building a roster. You know he's got some aces up his sleeve for this offseason. 2 2 Quote

Probably not as cut and dry as Young made it sound. Borek needs to be the adult in that situation, at least wait until the coaches meeting to air his grievances (like when the UST coach called out Naruto for tampering with Eernise). Quote
siouxweet Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The only top seed to look worse than us in the first round was Michigan State. Quote

WMU struggled with Mankato. Michigan played a bad team. I don't understand why we're trying to take away from a 3-0 win, against a hot team on terrible ice. It's the 2nd tourney win in a decade. It's ok to just be happy. 1 15 Quote

Cripes Denver steam rolled a team 1000 times better than Merrimack. Just hoping UND plays better tomorrow than they have the last month plus. We are not playing our best hockey when it counts. Quote

No one said our game would be a gimme with how well Merrimack played thru the HEA tourney. Cornell ended their season losing 3 of their last 5 games. I don't think they were 1000x better than Merrimack. Agreed that I hope UND plays better tomorrow...if they can show us that Friday night WMU game form, we'll be in good shape. That said, I've never seen someone be so mad at a 3-0 NCAA tourney win shutout. 2 Quote

The only eastern team to win so far is Quinnipiac. I've never seen the eastern conferences so weak before. Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Btw. How did Merrimack retain the name Warriors? Quote

Roster composition, skill level, NHL draft picks, tradition, NCHC regular season champs says it should have been a gimme. Some GF Bantam AA teams have had more talent than Merrimack. 1 1 Quote
