jk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Knowing how Sandy coaches, he could have the ingredients for another run. Stellar goalie most importantly, but also top-end skill to bury chances, even if they're rare, and a good skating balance of the roster that's hard to come back against. That was UND in 2000 and 2001, but this year UND was assembled to be higher octane. We'll see how it works out. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Providence losing and dropping to the 7 spot is huge. No Duluth in our bracket. 1 1 Quote

SIOUXELEVENS Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We need our d men to stay up right and take the body , this sliding to prevent the pass never seems to work out. Let’s get this team healed and ready to rip up the NCAA’s Quote

And easier for the opposing teams to matchup against you when you've already played them 4-5 times earlier that season. Our game tonight certainly didn't go as we hoped, but other games are going our way at least. 1 Quote
jk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Does anyone know if the illness running through the team is real, or just a handy excuse? I do see that Kernan was out sick today, but that doesn't tell me anything about the rest of the team. Quote

Denver sure as heck doesn't build their teams like that. Our 2016 team wasn't built like that either. Duluth will not block and tackle their way to a natty. It will shock me if they do. Quote

And I don't think the coaches or players ever have or ever will mention illness. But that doesn't mean it isn't a very real problem. 1 Quote

Hard to believe that one guy is too sick to play but no one else is infected Quote

brianvf Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago 4 minutes ago, TwamleyShuffle said: Can you explain why UMD wouldn’t be in our bracket because of this outcome? If we end up #2 overall, bracket integrity would put the 2nd lowest 2-seed in our bracket, which would be #7. That's where UMD was after their win tonight. But Providence losing dropped them to #7 and UMD up to #6. So...with true bracket integrity if it works out...UMD would be in #3 overall's bracket. Some things might still move around a bit with conf champs next weekend, but we appear locked in at #2 right now. 1 Quote

I know it seems crazy, but I think if they lose next week, Duluth could fall to 8 or 9. We'll see the updated probability matrix soon enough to see if that's right. Quote

fightingsioux4life Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago Michigan State lost to Ohio State. That doesn't ruin their season any more than tonight's putrid result in Grand Forks ruins UND's season. Quote
Dustin Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago I wouldn't doubt Duluth and Providence are swapped to keep each team closer to home. I would bet that UMD is with us in Sioux Falls. Plus, the committee would enjoy pairing 2 NCHC teams in a regional to make sure the Frozen Four isn't the Frozen NCHC. 1 1 Quote
