Should've started this thread a while back as the girls season wrapped up with Hill-Murray winning the AA and Breck/Groves academy winning the A by knocking off Warroad.

In the boys AA division Rosemount punched their ticket by beating St. Thomas last night, and are the only team that has currently qualified for the tournament.

2A-Blake vs. Delano

3A-Mankato West vs. Luverne

4A-Chisago Lakes vs. Mahtomedi

5A-Monticello vs. Cathedral

6A-Northern Lakes vs. Sartell

7A-Hibbing Chisolm vs. Cloquet/Esko/Carleton

8A-Warroad vs. Detroit Lakes

1AA-Lakeville South vs. Farmington

2AA-Chanhassen vs. Tonka

3AA-Rosemount beats STA 3-2

4AA-Still have semis to play.  White Bear Lake vs. Stillwater, Hill-Murray vs. Gentry

5AA-Centennial vs. Andover

6AA-Edina vs. Wayzata (Rogers upset by Wayzata)

7AA-Grand Rapids vs. Rock Ridge

8AA-Moorhead vs. Elk River

MN Hockey Hub (mnhockeyhub.com) used to be a great resource.  Now it's owned by Star Tribune and you can't see a fraction of the information without paying.  It's making it mostly useless.

In AA- Lotta really good teams are out in the metro power sections.  Seciton 8: I can't see Moorhead not getting there and making a run.  Section 7 making an argument will be surprising, it is weak this year.  Edina vs Wayzata will be a good tilt.  I think Tonka will walk Chan, but you never know.  The Andover vs Centennial match is a shocker that nobody saw either of them going to the dance.

Cullen is just on a different level.  Stick handle through a phone booth.

Moorhead goalie jittery but only given up the 1.  Can see why they tried to pluck a WF goalie.

Spuds look like they are headed to state and based on other results they could end up seeded highly.

Gentry knocks off Hill-Murray.  Edina scores a goal like I've ever seen before and beats Wayzata.  Moorhead punches their ticket moments ago.

Lots of tight games right now.  Hibbing on upset alert at Amsoil.

Let's not forget Cullen is still only 15.

Gentry and WBL with semi upsets which leads me to believe Moorhead is all but assured the #2 seed and if Tonka was to lose they'll be the top seed next week.

Holy crap!  Stillwater lead WBL the entire 3rd and WBL scores with goalie pulled - then they win it 30 seconds into OT!

A guy that works for me is from Detroit Lakes.  I'm told its been 30 years since they made state.  They will literally have to slay the dragon to get there tonight.

They have a good goaltender.  He will need to make 40 plus saves for them to win tonight.

Roeder is elite...he is quietly one of the absolute best players in minny high school.  He plays a good physical game, clean but hard, and he reads the ice, handles contact and dishes it.  I put him among the absolute best projections in Minny

So, Joey Cullen is universally a top 5 player in the birthyear, will he stay and do before and after with the force or will he go to the program?  I mean Moorhead is stacked for years...I think Matt Cullen should get the key to the city for what he did to build that crew and the community hockey wise.  They are lined up for a decade thanks to Matt.  Its almost unfair...they will own Section 8 probably forever now...at least they played an elite schedule with the metro blue bloods.

Goalie is Jr named Lindberg. He is the best goalie DL has had in years if not best ever. If he continues to improve, should get a chance to play Jrs somewhere. They have some good young kids but will lose a good group of seniors. 2 Deraney kids playing elsewhere would have helped, but Ben Noah has done a great job taking over a team that struggled to compete with TRF, EGF and especially Warroad before he took over.
