brianvf Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM Big home series this weekend. ASU has looked a little porous defensively, so hopefully UND can take advantage. They still have some talented forwards with Potter, Lucius, and their ex-pro Beck who seemed to be in on all of their goals against CC. Keep the streak rolling, UND! 1 Quote

cberkas Posted Sunday at 09:51 PM Posted Sunday at 09:51 PM Arizona State might go with a rotation in net, but I'm expecting Urban to start both nights. Stay out of the box! They have a few players that will try and bait the guys into penalties after the whistle. Powell and two other like to do that. Their pp tends to get them back in the game when they are down. Need to watch for the cross-ice passes on the pk, take that away to shut down their pp. Take aways the middle of the zone, can be aggressive on the pk but be smart about it. Chase the puck and it will be in the back of the net with ASU. The drop pass on their pp can be easily picked off if timed right. That is something UND was good at, causing a turnover at the other team blue line. UND needs to go with Jan both nights, Arizona State will get Homer to over commit, get out of position, and lose his net. No blind passes! They will feast on them. Need to look, tell each other you have time, put pucks to where your teammate can get it, and make smart decisions with the puck. Something I noticed against CC is that Arizona State started floating one or two forwards and the offensive blue line on breakouts. Play the body, they don't like to hit or be hit. Hit them hard an often early to set the tone. They don't change their two top lines of Lucius/McGurn/Schimek and Beck/Potter/Waldron. They will change what line is listed 1st and 2nd each game. This is a new era; Berry was 1-2 against the club coach time for Jax to change that and get the series lead. 2 Quote
cberkas Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Last year Arizona State was in this same position going to Denver. That changed their season, can't let them do that at the Ralph. Quote
nodakgirl93 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I expect we will see Homer on Friday and then Spunar on Saturday. Quote

Listened to the ASU press conference the people asking the questions made it sound like Homer was the goalie starting both nights. Spunar is the one they should go with both nights, wouldn't be surprised it both played. Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I think that unless one of them has a huge collapse, we'll see them both playing. Quote
Blackheart Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Hoping the Sioux play an intense and up tempo game against these guys. Would love to see them leave without any points. 1 Quote
