This is the type of game where we'd crap the bed in the past.  Expecting/hoping it'll be different this year.

Need to put them away early and not let them hang around and give them hope.

Defense isnt bad enough to !@#$ the bed that bad. The offense on the other hand 100% depends on play calling I think our OC should have been fired for negligence after last game but i regress and the other factor is if Jerry is done with his existential crisis yet or not. We should win by about 21.

Why haven't we seen JTJ in certain packages near the goal line similar to with what we did with Quincy?

Cause he’s in a boot and hurt

My point is trust the offensive line, quit lining up in shotgun when you need a half yard and run the god damn ball.

This x 1000! And saying it doesn't mean you want to go back to Rudolph.

The OL could not get the necessary yard on 4th down in the biggest play of the game.

Prior to going to the pass game at the goal line, the OL could not make enough space twice on running plays.

This is not the OL of 2 years ago.

Just don't understand RPO on extremely short yardage downs, you run the risk of ineligible player down field. Maybe I'm "old school" but I think you line up under center and give the ball to your RB. Maybe if Z was healthy that would've been the play call.

Because he weighs 45lbs less?

Gotta be a tight end who played QB in high school or something that they could find to fill that role though...

Z being hurt is part of the issue. Assuming a few other guys were dinged up that also could have filled that role.

They got 1 yard and than 2 yards.  3 Yards in 2 plays would have been enough to get the 3 yards needed on 1st and goal from the 3.

Rewatch the first down from the 2, the oline got plenty of push, if Jerry gives it to Sawyer its a TD.

The OL is still one of the strengths of the team. Our lone touchdown was a running play inside the 5.

I still would have preferred running the ball to the cute little short passes that were called.

Yes 100%. If look at all our running plays straight ahead we didnt really have any or many with negative or 0 yards. Yes we weren't getting huge gains but more than not we were getting positive yards.

Just noticed "Schobert" in picture ... is that that Schobert?

That's him.  Looks like he played for Jacksonville in 2020.  Has been retired since 2022.

Per wikipedia - On April 15, 2020, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Schobert to a five-year, $53.75 million contract that includes $21.50 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $12 million.

He was traded to Pittsburgh the next August for a 6th round pick.

Yes, and Seidl went in virtually untouched.
