Observant point.  It was Schleusner that told me that strategy years back.  Before a big game, or prior to conference, throw so many looks on film that DCs don't have enough practice time in the week to prepare for them all.

It was close to two decades ago @PCM was advocating "two QBs on the field at once" to me as a disrupter to the defense preparation. I believe it was the FB "Brock-star" era.

They actually have Nate DeMontagnac as the main photo on the sports page.

There is a picture of Simon, which accompanies the article that was written about him where he asked the coaches what he can do to help the team and they added a few
wrinkles for him to put some extra things on tape for other teams to prepare for. The new head coach also states a lot of the same thing we heard last year:

these warm and fuzzy stories go hand and hand with a 53% winning percentage and 1 playoff win over the last 10 or so years.

he wouldn't even make the team down south

Yet a couple former All-Americans and a number of coaches disagree with you. Danny Freund said that he wanted to find ways to get him on the field 2yrs ago when Schuster was our starting QB. Are you that delusional that you think so many others closer to the program think Simon will help them.
What do you have against Simon?

have you watched und football the last 20 years...

have you watched ndac football the last 20 years....

we need to up the talent level compared to them...it's that simple.

There is not a program in the Country that doesn't want to up their talent level.  The fact is that we have who we have right now and the coaching staff needs to use what they have to win as many game as possible.  All indications are Simon has been a great teammate since he has got here.  Just because the previous coaching staff made him the starting QB last year is not his fault.  He did the best that he could.  Now he is doing all the he can to help the team win.  We loved the Brockstar package and when Quincy V would come in and run QB sneak, but when Simon wants to help and the coaches put in packages for him some people have a problem.  Simon is a team player and the way he gets crapped on by people on this site is gross and sickening.

You may say you have nothing against him personally, but you clearly do.  Let it go.  Your guy is QB1.  Enjoy it.  Looks like Jerry is clearly the best QB this year, and I'm surprised the completion was that close in Fall Camp.

Its as if you want Schimidt to call and tell the Herald who they should put on the front of the page.  I guarantee no one on the team cares, they just want to win.

Then let it go. I think you are smart enough to know that your comments seem personal. I don’t know if your obsession with Jerry is cuz you are personal friends, related, or a man crush.  I would think you are better than that. Jerry has earned the starting position and I believe it’s because he gives us the best chance to win. The coaches also believe that. Last year they didn’t think he was ready. I lot of us thought Feeney would be the starter last year. None of that matters anymore. 
If the coaches have a plan to utilize Simon in multiple roles, it’s because they believe that would give us a better chance to win. Regardless of how they plan to utilize him, he has already proven he belongs. 
 
In answer to your question, yes I’ve watched a couple of the UND and the NDSU games.

Honestly, with the talent that we have at QB, you could have all three QB's on the field as a look for them to have to think about preparing for.  Not sure the legality of having three QB's on the field at the same time, but I'd do it if its a legal play.  Heck, you could put Simon on the field in the punt team look and on 4th and short sneak it if the look is right or try and draw them off.

Maybe too much backyard football there though.
