And with Chyzyk being (Western) Canadian & having all of the minor & junior hockey connections, you better believe there are conversations being held with guys like Roger McQueen, Jackson Smith, Ben Kindel, Blake Fiddler, Cameron Schmidt, Cole Reschny, Carter Bear, Lynden Lakovic, Josh Ravensbergen, Braeden Cootes, Nathan Behm, etc in addition to the McKenna interest. Like I've said, sure, some will sign pro and forego the NCAA, but you better believe some will want to face better, age appropriate competition before turning pro.

Very intrigued to see what happens.

CHL playoffs don’t end until end of May/early June so some commitments might take awhile to come in.

There's not a lot of portal studs out there. We did get Gibson. The CHL season is still going, so you'll like need to hold your britches until the beginning of the summer when these guys go on recruiting trips 😉

Probably during the summer, after the Memorial Cup is over, and probably some after the NHL Draft. There will be teams who advise the CHLer(s) they draft to go to the NCAA to develop more instead of going back to junior.

McKenna isn't draft elgible until 26. I don't think anything happens with him when Medicine Hat is still playing. They are playing Prince Albert in RD 2 starting Saturday.

If he does decide to play NCAA he will be one and done for sure.

Would be great to have him 1 year. I hope Menghini commits soon out of the portal but I’m hopeful UND gets some other CHL kids too.

There’s not a lot of steam on his next destination. Not like Pritchard.

Did some googling. Not sure on UND connection yet, but Mom’s from ND (Minot area). That side of the family all still live in ND.
