Hopefully the CHLers actually interested in the NCAA get a waiver to get their core classes in a bit later.

Additionally, if Bear is interested in coming down here, deferring him a year while he gets healthy before he comes in in 2026-27 might be beneficial for all parties involved

Program is setting a course for the future and developing relationships.

This topic (ID camps) came up on college hockey reddit. A hockey mom asking if it was worth going to, some mixed reactions about them.

College sports camps are an important piece in the recruiting process. The athletes get a week on campus, a week with that schools coaches, an opportunity to meet players on the team, and often an opportunity to interact with fellow recruits. The coaches and potential future teammates get a chance to learn how a potential recruit responds to their coaching, how they treat support staff, how they interact with other kids etc.

Its a good idea to attend camps at schools the athlete is interested in.

I don’t know. I attended a Dave Gunther basketball camp at UND when I was in 7th grade, and I never got a sniff. Can’t believe that Dave would have already filled the 5’10” slow guy spot on the roster five years early.

Kid would be a great pickup.
This goal was all him...his hustle to win the puck battle, then being in the right place to bang it home.

It's not really what you think about in comparison to the old UND hockey school camps or a Jr's or AAA camp

Is this invite-only camp held by UND just for regional American players from MN, ND & SD? Or are there some Canadian players who also got invited?

Because Schlossman already named the most notable player who attended, RJ Thompson. If he can list him, it shouldn't be such a top secret question to ask who the other attendees were.

If you look at the box score, J. Christ finished the hat trick with the overtime winner for Muskegon.  Too bad we didn’t recruit him, as if he can walk on water, no doubt he would be great skating on it!
