I've never been on the fire Bob bandwagon but this is atrocious.  I still can't believe they beat UND.  First time in the Motzko era I don't even bother giving a rats behind about who or when they are playing.  At this point I'd rather watch Love Island.  

This season is a waste.  If it rolls into next season it's Raboin time.

I know it's cliche but it's the rivalry and records goes out the window. Just look at the 2022-23 season that Minnesota went to the title game and had a wagon of a team.  Two OT games in Mariucci and a series split despite UND being a little better than .500 that year.

UND was still figuring itself out earlier this season. If those games happened now, I don't think they would have been close.

Yeah, like the Denver loss.  UND teams get too full of themselves then drop a clunker every once in awhile.  Happens every year 2 or 3 times.  Just avoid it in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, the Pairwise formula doesn’t take when the game is played into consideration when making calculations…

This is a historically bad Gopher team and I am not convinced they will be much better next year like their fan base thinks. They are a lot further from the top than they realize.

And despite all of this, 2 Gophers were in the top 3 of ice time at the World Juniors and one was the big C on the team.  Make it make sense!

Personally, I think Bob is either doing his best to recruit replacement guys like Jackson did when we looked like a mess, or they will show him the door.  Be interesting to see if they are active recruiting players in the CHL beyond the already committed Kvasnicka.
 I think Bob probably is feeling the pressure to turn it around quick, so we’ll see if he is stubborn, or if he changes his philosophy a bit.  So many good defensemen in the CHL, that maybe Minnesota could even pull one if they move that direction. Personally, I hope teams use the “All Minnesota” provincialism against them on the recruiting trail in Canada.

Bob isn't recruiting like he did at St. Cloud getting those under the radar guys that Minnesota over looks or doesn't recruit because of their arrogance. He also has those alumni telling him who he needs to recruit he didn't have at St. Cloud.

Raboin has to have the inside lane to the Gopher job. He only has his third year program 23 slots higher in NPI.
