Didn't have an opportunity in 2020 and in 2021, couldn't get one more in a crazy regional final 5OT game. But those teams were legitimately great.

Agree, I can’t help but think, what if Covid didn’t happen and that team had a chance at a banner and also, what if Michigan didn’t get covid and UMD didn’t get a bye to the regional finals

BU coach blasting his forwards for their play:

Quote

They aren’t physical enough. They aren’t winning enough battles. They aren’t making simple, mature decisions. They’re committing far too many turnovers and, as Pandolfo often bemoans, they aren’t playing with an identity. Whatever you think of plus/minus as a helpful or misleading statistic, it’s hard to argue with the story it tells: Boisvert and Murtagh are -3, Bednarik is -4, Ritchie, Eiserman and McLaughlin are -5. Fondrk is -7 and Harvey is -11. When Pandolfo’s best forwards are out there, they’re getting boat raced.

You hate to see it :D

Definitely. I just feel so bad for them. Especially after all of the insinuations about what it meant that they were able to poach UND’s “best players”. 🤣

And to think, they went out and spent a bunch of money so they could turn their irresponsible play issues into much bigger (and more expensive) issues…while Jax turned around the locker room issues and gained the flexibility to reinvest into players like Verhoeff and Reschny. Gotta love it.

Spicer finally cleared to play for WMU starting this weekend.
Wonder how he'll do...he didn't exactly light up the USHL last season.

Now get the Miami goalie cleared

McMahon said on his podcast that an undisclosed NCAA team is trying to clear a current junior player who signed an NHL contract. No NHL games under his belt so no actual compensation received yet.

This should be a no, sorry you can’t be in the NCAA. Next you’ll see NFL, NBA, and MLB doing this. And for other you play ECHL and AHL if you are playing or signed for a year you can’t play NCAA.

It would be problematic if this player gets cleared. The only reasonable point the player could make is if he signed his ELC before college hockey opened up to the CHL. If a team is able to pick up a player like Tij Iginla, that would be crazy.

What is also worth noting is that he pretty much stated that every team, including UND, could add players at the end of the semester. Roster caps seemingly mean nothing if you have players on the roster that were recruited prior to opting into the house settlement.

Who do we think, Arizona State, BC, BU?

That'd be pretty bad if he's cleared.
But he'll probably get cleared just because the NCAA doesn't want to risk litigation.
I tell you, if the whole Sioux name fiasco was going on now, UND would have had no problem retaining the nickname because the NCAA would just fold as they have with everything in the last 3-4 years.

yeah, and then 5 years later they would have to give it up again because somebody got offended.

What was the shelf life for those?  They make it out of the 80's?

I don’t even think that long. 2-3 years maybe? The Flyers wore them too.
