Totally agree.  This is also why i don't understand those that are blaming coaching strategy as being the main problem.  This team chucked up threes constantly because they are smaller, slower and weaker than their opponents.   If fans wanted to double our already horrendous average number of turnovers per game, just try forcing the ball inside every possession.

let’s just get real with und wbb. hutters sideline presence should be indicative of how he treats his players as his so called family. screams at the refs for every single thing, screams at assistants for every single thing, screams at players for every single mistake. i feel bad for people who sit behind UND bench but they should know exactly what im talking about. they should be able to hear that most timeouts are spent just berating players and then walking the bench to only talk !@#$ about his players and how bad they are. and if they pay for front row seats they unfortunately will smell it too. terrible hot stinky breath that spews anger and negativity. and mentioning family, he only calls it family because that makes him head of the house as the man. has control over everyone and everything. how often was hutters family at games?  does anyone know what they look like? if his family is relieved he’s not home because he’s coaching what does that tell you. we’ll see the family when the portal comes when minus the 5 seniors, half the team enters the portal. and the only reason the other half doesn’t is because they are either scared they won’t be picked up or too brainwashed by hutters good talking skills. he knows how to pump fake people with his words but can’t teach his players a pump fake. and want to mention strength training, hutter believes weight training was hurting his players as lifts occurred biweekly.now let’s talk x and o’s, his philosophy is obviously chuck up 3s, pray they go in, and score more than the other team. he has only had to coach the same cookie cutter players; wear out the arc. why have posts and forwards when you refuse to develop them and have an inside post game. und offense this season did not utilize them whatsoever. miranda averaged probably close to a point a minute this season and hutter couldn’t find more minutes for her, because she didn’t fit inside his mold. same goes for fletcher, hanna miller, ohnstad, even volmer had to fight for her minutes because the 3 isn’t her main game. and another requirement of fitting into his mold is meeting with him. if players don’t meet with him weekly they don’t play. supposedly being in the coaches office kissing ass nowadays is a good thing. in the good old days you didn’t talk to the coach unless it was yes coach, okay coach. you weren’t in his office sharing coffee and talking about your boyfriends…… coach too involved in outside, need to worry more about coaching. all hutter wants is control. a narcissist control freak is the best descriptor. where is the public contract of the head coach? why can’t we see how much he’s getting paid, it’s because chaves is saving half a million dollars every year hutter is head. he is only head coach because it saves money, not because he knows what he’s doing. i would message the non favorites and seniors that have nothing left to lose to get a real description of this “culture and family” not a favorite who has brainwashed and manipulated by his talking and live in delusion

But he posts great things on X all the time about culture and recruiting he must be the real deal

There are different styles of coaching. About thirty years ago I talked to a former player of Gene Roebuck. I can’t recall prior to UND or first year or two. She said he would get so frustrated that he would break a clipboard or two during games. Also one time he felt the women weren’t playing hard and at halftime he scrimmaged them in another  gym. She said nothing negative but only positive. 

 

I will withhold judgment and see what happens with roster and if any improvements next season. I think SU’s coach took 2 or 3 years before winning record after several poor seasons.

RECAP

1. UND Dead Last- 5 transfers,4 freshman (no excuses)
2. USD 3rd- 9 transfers,4 freshman. 
3. 3pt shooting dead last 27% (bases of offense with no adjustments all year)
4. Hughes one of the worst 3pt shooters at 25% chucks 160 3’s with no repercussions. (Basically turnovers)
5. Hughes makes the real record book cracking the top 10 all time coming in at # 8 with 104 turnovers with no repercussions. 
6. Hutter states Hughes brought in to teach how to compete. Here is where the problem lies. If you can’t find 15 players willing to compete you’re not doing your job! Geno Auriemma always says we don’t teach that stuff!
7. The site is not for parents I guess. 
8. If you know too much you are a parent and it is all lies I guess. 
9. Everyone is a professional armchair coach on this site. I don’t know how many people said this team was going to be good. That would mean if you picked the transfers we would still be in the same boat dead last! Maybe it’s not that easy!
10. Coach complains to refs,players, staff and never coaches!
11. 4 division 1 wins!
12. Teams next year have calendar marked no scout needed against UND. Same everything for year 3. 
13. When the real attendance comes out we will be towards the bottom. 
14. Be careful what you wish for on having a bunch of people transferring out. It’s hard getting people to come here let alone good players. 
15. Playing time is decided by how much 1 on 1 time with coach. CREEPY! (Per source)

24. Hutter stated this wasn’t a rebuild year and then changed his tune during the season. Why didn’t he then play younger players more to see what he had and to develop them. In stead he tried to save grace and played a 5th yr player who just laughed during the final interview after getting waxed by a team that had tryouts. Not to mention Hutter was all smiles as well!  No one cares I guess.

Agreed. Not saying Hutter is the guy by any means, but why would we be careful for what we wish for? Only 4 D1 wins this year which is basically rock bottom already. I spose it can get a little worse than it already is, but not much. May as well try again to bring in talent.

I spell it out for you. You are the dumb ass! Fighting for time in a gym between 3 teams and cheer teams is not productive. These kids are students and athletes with packed schedules. It is a big plus for recruiting when you can use a gym when it fits your schedule. I’m sure you  don’t have a busy schedule  sitting down in your moms basement waiting for your pot pie to be brought to you!
