coachdags Posted Thursday at 04:14 AM Posted Thursday at 04:14 AM Season ticket holder since 1980, 4 seats Courtside! 1st year I did not personally go to a game! Watched parts of them all 100% online or TV. However totally a waste of time, but at least could turn the channel, since Mallory 2nd season the UND Administration has totally given up on the WBB program. Probably still buy my seats next year, and hopefully pay my grandkids to use them. 😢 1 2 Quote

UND fans need to care more. Look at what happens when the correct coach is hired (fb and ho I am not an armchair athletic director. Not gonna do an analysis for you. The old "anyone who doesn't rip them " doesn't care" philosophy works for some. You are comparing the financial support that FB and HO get to what WBB gets? 1 Quote

I think the sentiment is that when a new coach is injected into a program, there comes some success, excitement, and a tangible looking path to more success in the future. Hutter was with the team last year, and should have been able to hit the ground running at least a little bit with the portal and a number of roster spots to fill. What we have seen was a bit of buzz right away, but now after a difficult year and getting blown out in a play-in SLT tournament, we have to hang our hopes that he can get better players with the current status. Then he needs to actually put some Xs and Ox together instead of pass, pass, huck up a 3. He will need to do a better job of coaching. I really hope he does it, but I haven't seen anything this year to prove he can do it next year - time will tell though. 1 Quote

This program was built on “tradition” and past players should be upset with the current status of this program. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted Thursday at 05:22 PM Posted Thursday at 05:22 PM Gene Roebuck record over 24 years 628-145 UND’s record over the last 15 years 192-231 Woof. Different eras but man that’s depressing. Used to go to all the women’s games growing up but now I hardly even check how they did because it’s been so bad. Thought this year I’d start going with Jocie hopefully bringing the program up but that all changed. Transfer portal and NIL have obviously severely hurt us in sports but I feel like more outside of WBB (besides last year). I don’t think there’s a good excuse we can’t be consistently in the top 4 of the Summit. NIL is not nearly the factor in the women’s game it is in the men’s. 1 1 Quote

coachdags Posted Thursday at 10:19 PM Posted Thursday at 10:19 PM The Bison just beat Omaha by 50 for 3x this year! Omaha the team that beat us 2x Omaha the team that held open tryouts for roster spots a few months ago. The Bison 🦬 is the team that we use to trade National D2 Championships with! We won 3, with 1 runner up. imo- Any of our D2 Title teams, beats our current club easily, certainly out coach them. 2 2 Quote
UND1983 Posted Thursday at 10:26 PM Posted Thursday at 10:26 PM Beyond embarrassing how the program has been left to fall this far. Quote

UND and NDSU women's teams back then were often ranked in the top 40-60 in the Computer rankings they used back then. Also, there are 360+ teams that play D1 now compared to around 300 back then. That is roughly 950-1000 athletes who were playing D2 back then that would be D1 now. Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted yesterday at 05:39 AM Posted yesterday at 05:39 AM Watching the Omaha game was ugly. Our offensive shooting was atrocious. As bad as any college team I have ever watched. Boxing out was optional. Our seniors played ugly. We played as bad as I ever could have imagined. That’s my beef. It was embarrassing. Quote

The problem is that MBB and WBB are or were being run like high school programs. This isn't high school. It's Division I athletics. And it's high time Chaves and this department do what they did with FB and hockey. 1 Quote
UND1983 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Why does our favorite university ALWAYS allow their athletic programs to hit darn near rock bottom before they decide to make a change? Years and years of slow degradation but nothing happens until it's cratered 1 1 Quote
F'n Hawks Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago This all started when Chaves let Mal keep the job after winning two games during her interim year. A coach went 2-19 and we decided to keep her! 2 Quote
