I’m a strong believer in what the 1883 is doing and trust them completely. It takes a ton of legal wrestling to do it right. That takes money. The off the top is for legit expenses. I for one am thankful they stepped up to do a challenging work. Keeping quiet about who gets what is to not show your cards to other teams. Just my two cents. BTW I wished I could pull off the white glasses but sadly I can’t. He rocks it. 1 Quote
Popular Post Cratter Posted April 2 Popular Post Posted April 2 I love how a couple key individuals came together and formed a non profit to help UND athletics. This isn't a full time job for them. They are just volunteers. And asking for money like any non profit. People acting like this is a UND alumni association at work. Maybe UND should funnel some money to form another collective with full time fundraisers! It's not going to be easy to suddenly add $500k to $million+ a year to the "donation pockets" of the UND stakeholders. 5 Quote

I appreciate the 1883 collective and encourage people to contribute, but I would be surprised if they have the time to be reaching out to the big fish needed to move the needle. Almost needs to be grass roots where us as fans spread the word in hopes of reaching those big fish. I know Gage made a tweet a few weeks ago about him leading an effort if players left due to NIL. I think Gage and company could potentially reach some big fish. Need more of that! 1 Quote

At very least they’re connected enough to not only reach out to other former players to contribute to 1883, but probably know someone who could get ahold of a guy like Chipman, Dan Mikkelson, Dave Fennell, etc. Just spit ballin’ 1 1 Quote
