My hope for Dane's Thursday presser: 

- clarity on what will change in style of play
- a vision of modernization (play, staff)
- acknowledgement on recruiting shortcomings and a plan
- addressing NIL (aka pay for play, which it really is) 
- a tease of what to expect as the roster is presently 6F, 7D, and 1G!

Would like for specifics on how they're recruiting the CHL, if they're utilizing their (Western) Canadian connections to recruit the new player pool that has opened up. Hopefully Dane is building relationships with CHL coaches to build pipelines in the years to come.

I wonder if we could do something similar in the near future - an opportunity for big name alumni to serve in an "assistant GM" role where they could help recruit talent and NIL $$.

So Brad thinks it will be a short turnaround on the assistant's job that's been posted.  So, maybe announce on Thursday?

Here is my question.  Shouldn't we be hiring two assistants, one to replace Karl and one to fill Jackson's spot?

Maybe he already has an associate's job lined up for someone in the F4 or CHL that needs to be under wraps until a more appropriate time. Can't imagine him having only 2 assts under him, unless the 3rd happens to be someone in a GM role.

GM would be player development which there is someone currently. Look at all the big teams and that have a former player at that role. UND might need a shake up in their hockey ops and reorganize the positions.
