If he goes with an entirely new staff it will indicate that he's committed to winning, even if it means letting go of friends. Which is difficult. But his first loyalty is to the team & its success, not any individual staff or players. If he retains everybody, it will indicate that he has an element of softness that BB had, indicating that he's unwilling or unable to make hard decisions. 1 Quote

Popular Post brianvf Posted Sunday at 04:06 AM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 04:06 AM Check out these quotes from Jake. Hopefully the rest of the team feels similar: Quote "I'm fired up," Livanavage said. "Huge news. I think it's big for North Dakota hockey in general. If you're a kid being recruited, there's nothing better than this place right now. This will be the best place to play college hockey." Quote Livanavage, who garnered interest as an undrafted free agent, said hiring Jackson solidified his return. "Honestly, if it wasn't Jax, I was leaving," Livanavage said. "It's so huge for everybody. I know a lot of guys were packing up and leaving if it wasn't him. Everybody is super pumped and excited for it. "He bleeds what North Dakota hockey is all about. He wants to be here. This is his life. You see how much this program means to Jax. It's something you want to be a part of." Quote "Jax is a guy who can bring national championships to this place," Livanavage said. "He can bring whatever you want to this place." 3 7 Quote

So you're saying the players of a 5th place team bullied the University into hiring the assistant of a coach who was just fired? Goddammit, you just can't make it up. 1 Quote

At least we shouldn't risk any players choosing elsewhere with the coaching change. Let's find a good associate coach. I don't think Karl deserves that just yet Karl needs to go. How can you expect players to live in grand forks when you and your family don’t Quote

KEM could have done the same. Who knows. Something that I have been thinking about and I don’t know what the right answer is. When do you release a college hockey coach and have the time to make the best hire? It’s not right that the portal opens before the tournament is over. You don’t have the time unless you already made your decision before the end of the season who is going to be the replacement. It sucks. 1 Quote
