are we really talking about bringing is a young coach from start-up Augustana as the head coach of a premier hockey program in the nation?

Is Denver really going to promote an assistant coach that they originally hired basically right out of college without any other experience?  If you're good, you're good.  Seems like he impressed a lot of people at Minnesota and St. Cloud.  Who is your choice?

I would seek out Associate Head Coaches at premier programs with history of developing chippaz to the next level and history of winning at the highest levels.

Raboin will excite ZERO chippaz.  ZERO.

You just described Dane Jackson.  Good luck with that.

From what some said, he was responsible for getting Cooley and Nies to Minnesota.

Are you insinuating that the only coaching experience he has is with Augustana?

Is this based on all the SUPER IMPORTANT conversations you've had with "the best 2010s in the country"?

The Gophers fan base would disagree strongly. They would like Raboin to replace Motzko once he resigns. He was the person that recruited both Knies and Cooley to UM. Are Cooley and Knies "chippaz"?

No Hakstol. No Blais.

And above all, no Dane Freaking Jackson.

Younger, more aggressive.

I guess I missed the part where anybody brought Blais up as the next head coach.

The SCSU dream scenario is Sandy to UND.  That creates the sliding doors of Larson to Duluth and Raboin to SCSU.  And Berry to Augustana just for fun.

Raboin will excite ZERO recruits so bring in Sandy.

I'm confused by how many people think Raboin is inexperienced? Six years as an Assistant at St. Cloud,4 at Minnesota. Was widely known to be the recruiter that brought in a number of the studs that St. Cloud and Minnesota got. Only real thing he had to do to prove himself is take a Head Coaching job and he's nailed that so far. I remember when people questioned giving Carle the reins at DU having never been a HC and he was technically "less experienced" than Raboin is now.

If it's not at UND, he'll be the next coach at Minnesota or St. Cloud; whichever opens first.

I went to the CC/Augustana games this season at Robson and take this observation in the spirit it’s intended, Auggie didn’t strike me as a bunch of A list world beaters, but they outworked CC. And CC isn’t exactly the premier team in the nation but Augustana simply outworked the Tigers. My bet is, the players took on the personality of the coach.

Augustana beat UND this year.

..and like I said before, swept CC at Robson, and Omaha at Baxter, with as was stated "a Start-Up" program.  What are we, 1-5 in our last 6 with CC?
