Not sure how it works with a job outside the NHL.

If he took an assistant job in NHL they usually work it out contract wise netween old team and new team.

So, you gotta be looking for a rising star current Associate or Assistant on a high performing team, head coaches on high performing teams aren't leaving, and if they are announcing soon, that also rules out Associates and Assistants that are in the field of 16.  Alternatively you are looking for a former Head Coach with a proven track record that is not working or is working well below their pay grade in a lesser league.

My best guess is it will either be Hak or Jackson. Although I did like a few names on the list from Schloss.

Coach from WMU, interesting, but huge buyout, he is probably out, Mayotte from CC, interesting. What are others best guess. My guess is someone on Schloss list is the guy.

Can anyone recall an instance where they announced an assistant or head coach from a program still actively playing to fill a vacancy for another program?  I know portal timing is changing the dynamic but I just don’t see it happening.
