Do we really want Brett Larsen after the implosion SCSU just had? Not I

I don't think he is the guy, but the success he's had with what he has to work with on that campus can't be understated.

Someone already said it, but in ten years there may not be an SCSU hockey team with their budget issues.

What if I told you, the UCONN of women's hockey isn't located in Madison Wisconsin?

ESPN 30 for 30 presents...."Husky....Women...."  A Stearns County exclusive.

What makes me a little nervous is the possibility of our AD totally bungling this. I still have fresh memories of the former AD at CC hiring his pal Mike Haviland and turning a bad situation into an absolute calamity. I sure hope Chaves doesn’t do anything remotely similar as Ken Ralph did at CC.

That could NEVER happen at UND.:whistling:

Now that I think about this a little, I really hope they get somebody from the outside.  Need to shake it up with some new perspective and ideas; not the same old stuff we've been doing.

He knows the sword hangs over his head too, which helps.

Anyone else looking at the D-Core next year thinking we might need a few of them to enter the portal? With Laurila and Lindberg both expecting to be on campus next year could have a log jam.

You think Lindberg is coming in straight from the NTDP? Wonder if they want him to play another year of junior like they had Laurila do, really benefitted Laurila.

Very true, I know every kid is different but when the majority of your teammates are playing in college the next year could be a bad taste in their mouth. Don't want another Spicer situation.

The new coach is going to have to decide if he wants to renew scholarships across the board or after doing due diligence from meetings and film, choose to part ways with certain guys.

If true, the new coach will have a lot to work with.

Also, don't want another Brent Johnson situation where another year is needed for both parties concerns. I would argue that the way it panned out, Spicer waiting another year was the right decision for both parties as well.

So since Montgomery and Johnson both went through the senior night thing is it safe to assume that both are done with UND hockey?  Both have eligibility left if I'm not mistaken.
