In this case no matter what, TH seems to have the perception that he was disrespected and thrown away. If that's his perception that is the reality to him and others.

In my perception Hennen seems to be using TH in his sensational over dramatization of the situation to fuel his own war against UND, Which basically negates a few valid points.

i.e. Schloss had nothing to say about this until now?  He obviously was aware, and I would guess aware of the hard feelings.

 

Bottom line in my book, I think less of Hennen once again in all this and that has been a long slide down over time in how he handles some issues for ratings more than content or results.

However, there's about a dozen or more better ways it all could have been handled by UND, and that didn't happen.

There's not enough information to draw that conclusion.  I'm pushing 50 so I have listened to TH as long as I can remember.  Listened to countless games, and the home games I've attended I'd listen to the pre and post-game shows.  He is Sioux hockey personified.  In listing the highest approval rating for UND athletics, TH has to be at or near the top.  He's a UND legend. 

That said, it's time for him to hang up the microphone.

at christmas break last year EVERYONE should have sat down and said/told Tim that he's becoming jordan with the wizards....tell him he has the last half of the season to either tell listeners this is the last run or if he chose not to tell but at least he would've known with a loss (or win!)at FF what game would be his last so he could've taken 5 minutes or 30 seconds to say goodbye...in his own words...live.

they've jumped the shark....jordan playing home games for the celtics after the wizards debacle would not have helped anything and only further tarnished jordan's legacy

Tough situation for Chaves. There’s always going to be critics, and seems many continue to judge him first and ask questions second. But the more I learn about each situation, and see the results, the more I believe he’s simply doing his job right - putting the university first over individuals and making the hard calls. So I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt here unless proven otherwise that consideration was given, even if TH disagrees that it’s time to hang it up. Time always wins in the end. 

Bubba, Bubs, and now TH. He’s let them all control the narrative on their exits and done what needed to be. I’m sure he knew they’d be unpopular decisions to many and his own performance would be tied to results - which isn’t easy to do with the GFK politics, coaches, staff, and donors he needs to manage. Credit where due and all the best to TH!

I’m honestly surprised at how much heat Chaves has taken with the proactive changes at the head coach positions, which appear to have been great decisions in hindsight. Maybe there’s other stuff im missing
