brianvf Posted Sunday at 03:00 AM Posted Sunday at 03:00 AM One point against WMU clinches share of Penrose. Two points gives them Penrose outright. Take it to 'em, boys! 1 Quote
cberkas Posted Sunday at 03:03 AM Posted Sunday at 03:03 AM If you are a betting man bet that the mic won’t work at Lawson if they present the Penrose. Quote
Irish Posted Sunday at 03:12 AM Posted Sunday at 03:12 AM The good news is that we have had some really strong third periods lately - the bad news is that we really really needed strong third periods. And what is going on with the defense? 2 Quote

Two Juniors and a Graduate Student. I think the formula for NCAA success is more upper-class defensemen. We'll see if the overall depth of the whole roster can overcome that. Quote

Popular Post burd Posted Sunday at 12:23 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 12:23 PM IMO, there’s nothing at all wrong with needing to win at Western next weekend. It’s nut-cuttin’ time, and if they can’t avoid getting swept in Kazoo they aren’t ready to win in the NCAAs. 5 Quote

burd Posted Sunday at 07:21 PM Posted Sunday at 07:21 PM The thing this team has not quite figured out is passing in the difficult areas like break-out and neutral zone transition. They seem to be passing to fixed targets too often, which is easier to defend. I get that those are problematic for most teams, but this team has more talent than most. I wonder if some coaches like Carle are just better teachers of that aspect. I wouldn’t trade Jax and staff at this point, though. Quote

UND is 5 up. Holding UND to 1 pt would only leave wmu with 5 pts. So only 4 pts gained and would finish behind UND. 1 pts would clinch share with Denver, if Denver sweeps. W mich needs to sweep UND. No way for UND and W mich to tie now Quote
