Right, the "we should take the (moral) high ground" argument & not play 'their' game. Always a good excuse when we get beat for not getting off our collective a$$ and beat 'them' at their own game. You've heard this line before, I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere NoDak, but it's true for me. I was always taught to never give up. I was told if they change the rules, learn their rules & beat them at their own game. I paid my own way through UND with all kinds of ugly jobs. But, if today some of my donations to UND goes to an NIL, to get a kid to come to play a sport, or build the latest drone technology at our school - I'm all in!! And as long as they don't cheat, or break a law, I'm in if they win or not. UND gave me a great start on life, and even if these kids stay for 2 or 4 years, they will forever be a part of the same UND I am proud to represent. 

If this is going to be about what's "fair" or you only play for the Sioux Hockey team if you "play for pride & tradition" - we are beat before we take the ice. Might as well demand all the players use straight blade sticks too, because some of these kids shoot the lights out with these new twigs. We have to go to war on the field in front of us, not the one up on that shiny hill of 'moral high ground' that doesn't exist. Rant done. I apologize in advance for the sarcasm, but not really.

Interestingly enough I received a call from someone that claimed to represent an NIL Agency today asking if my company would be interested in participating.  Thought the timing was strange on that. Googled the phone number and didn't look super reliable, makes me wonder how these individuals or businesses trust this when donating huge amounts of $$.

I agree with you.  The world doesn't work for culture.  The world works for money.  End of the day, all anybody wants is $2M liquid and a nice little house and truck that are paid for.  Once you have that, you are f'ing gold.  There's a great scene in the movie "The Gambler" about this exactly.

Guessing at some point in the near future there will be an announcement of something related to NIL donation of some magnitude.   Maybe not earth shattering but a good start in the right direction donation.  There have been several rumors on this site about that.

I'd be wary of anything that isn't the 1883 right now. That may change in time.
Plenty of scummy "agents" out there taking 20%+ from players and/or making promises that can't/won't be fulfilled.

It seems like such a black hole that no one knows what the rules or regulations are.  I can't imagine trusting anything that isn't 1883 so I'd be curious on the inner workings.  It'd be a great investigative reporting piece for Schloss in the offseason.
