He is a great athlete and would be a very good addition. He was really good as a dual threat qb last fall and took them to the state finals but heard he might play a few different positions next fall. Would also be nice to build a recruiting connection to Minnetonka. 1 Quote

It will be interesting to see how he fills out and physically develops in college. If he puts on weight, he has potential to be a very athletic interior DL. But he probably starts on the outside. Kid just had some work done on both hips that apparently will be a good thing for him in the long run to give him more flexibility and mobility. Nothing degenerative. Love this pickup for a variety of reasons. Smart move by Schmidty. 1 Quote
AJS Posted Saturday at 05:22 PM Posted Saturday at 05:22 PM 13 offers (could be missing a few) before the first Junior day of the year, Feb. 1st. How many more before the 2nd Junior day in March? Under Bubba you rarely had offers before the first Junior day, few at Junior day, really the first flood of offers wasn’t until after the Lindenwood camp. Clearly a very different philosophy Schmidt and his staff have. It’s early, but everything seems to be so much more deliberate and it just makes sense under Schmidt. Recruiting - being early, cannot hurt. Having that many offered, before Junior day, could really pay dividends. Going to be fun to follow, especially these early ones. How many offers come after, etc. 4 Quote
shep Posted yesterday at 01:26 AM Posted yesterday at 01:26 AM I just think the caliber of recruits is above those of the past. It’s like they aren’t afraid to go for some wanted highly recruited. In the past UND got guys who had no other offers. And I can’t recall so many coaches out there! 3 Quote

My take is that we did offer a lot of higher end recruits but didn’t get many of them. Hopefully that changes with the new regime. Quote

It seemed like a lot of the kids we offered before had a lot of D2 offers or none at all 1 Quote

I can't find the Wiki page but my memory is that we offered a lot of kids that committed elsewhere and we eventually ended up with a bunch of players with D2 offers. Quote
