But Schmidt is making amazing progress in a very short period of time. Quote

Have to hope the two FCS transfers, Olagbaju (St. Thomas, and who is over 300 lbs by the way) and Henry (Sac St), make major gains this summer and fall. They are both early in their careers with a lot of potential… Quote

Quick history lesson, freshman All-American because the whole LB crew got hurt. Next 3 seasons a special teamer and back-up LB at 215 pounds. At 235 probably a 4 - year starter. 3 Quote
forksandspoons Posted Wednesday at 04:20 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 04:20 PM I thought they'd bring in more LBs and DTs due to having a ton more players available in the spring portal. These positions still feel thin - especially when it comes to experience - even with the additions. Hope the guys in those groups are the hardest working all summer. And hopefully the coaching staff really likes what they've seen from who they already have. My worry about these positions stems from years and years of getting bullied in the trenches by top MVFC teams. Like someone said, coaching matters. Hope to see a massive & longgggg overdue improvement in the defense this fall. 1 Quote
