Assistant salary pool is what it is regardless of who has what titles.

The titles are irrelevant. What you call realism, I would call, in this case, pessimism. There is no reason a competent and concerted effort cannot raise the salary pool. It’s amazing UND football has been floundering with this as long as they have.

Per sources, there is hope …

Do you know what the salary pool is now? Also what it was before?

Serious question.

It was a rhetorical question.

Amazing that you feel inner-conflict is the right stance with this, but of course, at UND, it has historically been an issue: competing amongst each other more so than actual competition.

I would like to think you’d be more so apart of the solution than the problem, but perhaps not. Good day with you.

Buck the Fison. And what the hell Armstrong …

So it is greater than what it was. And they continue to push it higher. Do you know where UND ranked in assistant pool under Bubba? Third. Do you know what it is now? Second.

And my point was the pool is the same regardless of what happens. If there isn't a designated DC, then there is more money available to spread among the other position coaches and possibly the ability to attract better candidates than what there would be if there was a designated DC.

I’m aware.

Be happy, but hungry. No more counter-punches, time to actually throw the first punch.

Is there running QB gonna take over next year, or do they have someone else that is going to step up? Miller will be big shoes to fill, but they've been filling big shoes at the QB position for over 10 years.

Schmidt just posted.  A great weekend in the valley.  JYD and flagshipU.  Guess that means we are getting better recruiting and retaining.

With 4 hawk emojis. I know of 2 confirmed commits from this week and potentially 2 more so we will see if that’s him communicating a little something.

Why are cornerbacks and safeties coaches 2 different positions instead of one defensive back coach? Is it because of the 4-2-5 defense? Looking at some of the staff listings at other schools (Fresno, San Jose, Northern Illinois) some do not separate the 2, only one d-back coach. Having one d-back coach would free up some assistant coach salary pool $.
