Sounds like younger guys Brunell and Langama have finally caught up to X at practice and have been much better practice players and showing more. So sounds like X started hot and now guys have passed him, so he’s bottom of the chart.

i would never used "hot" to describe x's production this year....

My take on him was he'd try to bounce a lot of stuff outside and couldn't shake the guy on the edge so not much success.  I think he did well catching the ball.

agreed...a little screen pass with the d line behind him instead of just check down passes would've bee nice...

but yeah...pitter pattered in the hole and sometimes tried to go wide and nothing happened(s)

I made the comment at a game that he couldn't get the corner and about 2 plays later he went around the end for a long one.

I just watched Indiana throw a back shoulder ball to a wr who had zero separation. It was as if they trusted he could make a play if they just throw it to him. It’s exactly what we should have done with Deng all year. He doesn’t need to run by guys because he can catch over them. Next year we need to figure that out.

You have mentioned one of about 10 deficiencies that this year’s offensive direction for UND entailed …. need adjustment/change on offense in order to take the next step.

in reviewing the 2025 stats, the tight ends caught 39 passes this season.  can't guess the last time that happened.

Was a travesty Deng wasn't used more this yr. Just throw the fn ball up a foot or 2 over his head and he would out jump anyone defending him. I coulda still completed passes to him at my old washed up age even.
