Joel will be let go. That's all that is going to happen, unfortunately.  Bubba is going to put the blame on him. This is almost guaranteed to be what happens. 

Which made me think, are all assistants and coordinators on one year contracts? So we can let Joel go without costing us anything? I wpuld imagine so.

Joel knows everything he knows from Bubba, so that will be the ultimate scapegoat move, but I agree it’s the most likely scenario since UND and Chaves have set a precedent of mediocrity with no championship expectations.

Time for Chaves to show his cards. Do you care about the football program or not? If you do you’ll find a way to get a buyout done. If not you’ll continue with the status quo.

It is unreal that Romfo is still in.  No surprise with this coach, but wow.

Any chance Jerry is unwilling to go in as he is transferring? Seems like then you would put in the next guy.. 
 

I’m trying to dream up reasons for the unwillingness to put in the backup QB in obvious situations.

If Bubba is back next season AND Chaves gives him ANOTHER extension, I am done being a season ticket holder until Bubba is gone. At some point, you can't continue rewarding mediocrity.
