DU drops from #1 to #8 in two games. If we could have hung on to that lead Saturday, we would all feel a bit better about our situation...as it is, it's gonna be Rolaids and Tums from here on out

Yup, not good at all going forward. No doubt at all in my mind now we finish in lower half of the conference.

.357 Posted yesterday at 06:15 AM Share Posted yesterday at 06:15 AM Interesting press conference with Berry, Boisvert & Hedquist. All 3 said the team played much better D tonight & got the puck out of the zone better. All 3 stated also that the team's overall game was much better than last night. This in stark contrast to most everyone here in this thread who stated that the D was very bad again & that the team couldn't even pass. crb1 Posted yesterday at 07:11 AM Share Posted yesterday at 07:11 AM The two issues that are tough for me to understand are 1. Passing and 2. Not hitting the net on our shots.

Said shots on goal total showed improvement the night they were swept by Canisius

SIOUXELEVENS
Berry and Bubba are the same, they have no clue that the game has passed them by and have no idea how to adjust. Fans who love Berry I would like to know why ? Sure he is a nice guy but what does he bring as a head coach, great recruiter , game strategy , gets the most of his players or In game adjustments. 1 1
AJS
Can anyone explain why TJ has played a disproportionate amount of games compared to Hobie? Hobie will have to damn near string together multiple shut outs to get Berry’s attention. His infatuation with Portal players is crazy to watch year after year.

Hobie was the definition of calm in the net..no big rebounds, played the puck well, and made the saves he needed to make..no reason to not play him going forward

Exactly this - when Karl came on staff full time I thought wow - this will take our goalie recruitment and development to the next level and lead us to success - but no - it's portal goalie after portal goalie. Not sure how Berry's team recruiting and development went off the rails but it started right after our Natty in 2016. We have had some good talent but development is lacking and for some reason Berry can't field a team that consistently plays for a full 60 - almost a trademark of his teams. 1

RMU got tons of great looks Friday whereas they only got a few last night. Major improvement. Just really dry offense

I often wonder how his teams can just mentally check-out for significant chunks of the game, or even more strange, how they'll play solid 1 night & disappear the next. Putting 2 solid games together is an alien concept for these guys. This team can play pretty darn good when they're locked in (Providence, 1st BU, 2nd DU games), but then throw up a total stinker like on Friday vs RMU. Really curious what's going through their heads when it's one of those nights where they appear to not even be trying.
MafiaMan
Judging by Facebook posts post-game, clearly RMU is Frozen Four bound this season based on how well they played North Dakota this weekend.
