I disagree with whoever said the guys aren't playing hard, I think they are.  And we wouldn't be in the game after 3 quarters with the number 5 team in the country when we are barely an average team.

And in a surprising turn of events, the opposing team makes halftime adjustments and we do not.  Do we have 20 yards of offense in the second half?  We still have the same 59 yards of passing we racked up in the first half.  And the defense will give up 500 while we will hope to get 225….  We looked like we were giving it a shot - and then Bubba ball emerged again.,,

We showed emotion to start the game, but as John McKay would say, “My wife Corky is as emotional as hell but can’t play football”

Players are playing hard. 

Emotion and effort can carry this team (and past teams) only so far. It still comes down to talent, fundamentals and good coaching.

Go back and watch all the defensive players jogging on USDs first TD in the 2nd half on the long pass.  Tell me again how hard we are playing.
