It’s like night and day difference when it’s a UND home game My issue is more using the radio broadcast with the video. Western Michigan has this problem of long periods of no PxP while the game is going on. The other is how muted some feeds are compared to others. Denver who has a usual good feed does have some poor replay video for some reason. Quote

burd Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Might be a good place for a Hammer comment. That guy seemed, on one hand, to be from another planet that did not have hockey. But he was enthusiastic and appeared to be working hard at prep, despite his awkwardness. His unintentional non sequiturs and verbal gaffs were gold. Quote

Ok, I thought I was missing something. There was a guy here last year who streamed a couple of games from his YT channel; would be swell if he returned & did the same. Quote

Have used OnHockey.tv several times this year with fairly good results. Otherwise it’s NCHC.tv or the Midco channel that Xfinity carries in the Twin Cities. Before that, I used a FTA (free to air) dish and got all the home games. Gotta get my Sioux fix every weekend! Quote

DU is a whole other beast. Carle has his team consistently clicking on all cylinders, whereas Berry gets sporadic flashes of greatness from his players, with extended lulls of uninspiring hockey. Consistency is why DU is undefeated, & the lack of it is why UND is treading water. But with DU in town, the boys will probably be dialed in for most of the weekend ... but who knows with this team. Cannot afford anything less than a spliteroooski. You truly covered all your bases with this post no matter the result 1 Quote

brianvf Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Berg out this weekend again now too. Last time we played a top 10 team without Berg, things didn't go too well. All these injuries are getting really ridiculous to start the season. I think that means that every available skater will be playing again. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Johnson and five skaters. We only have 23 skaters so all 18 available play and we don’t even have an extra skater for the game sheet. Quote

If anything, this will show us the character of the team & how they handle adversity. Maybe they'll fold & go through the motions, maybe they'll dig deeper. Every single player needs to be playing to his full potential on each shift, no exceptions. Denver’s probably smelling blood. But the coach also gets a turn under the microscope. We'll see if Berry can field a competitive team each night under trying circumstances. Come mid-December, we'll see how he handled this particular adversity & if he was able to rally & guide his team effectively through it. The coach will receive equal praise or criticism alongside the players. 1 Quote

burd Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Not that long ago, didn’t UND sweep DU home and away only to see DU go on to win the natty? 1 Quote

No we haven’t swept DU in Denver in quite some time. So sweeping them at home and away has been a while We have swept them at home during the years of their 2 most recent natty’s, but last year we lost in OT in Denver and the prior time we swept at home and didn’t play them in Denver. No pop-ups at all. 1 Quote
