My guess is even hardcore Berry supporters will finally lose their patience when the 2025-2026 season ends without a UND post-season win. Who is we? You got a turd in your pocket or something? JK, the talking heads, schloss, Heinert, etc. You know, the dudes that are paid cheerleaders or depend on arse kissing for access are the only people touting the Penrose as all important. 2 Quote

Doesn’t matter if he loses again first round, if this team makes the tourney he’s safe. I was confident that was the case with Bubba this past year, I’m confident as well with Berry. 1 Quote

You think the good ol’ boy network at UND has the guts to push Berry aside if the team doesn’t make the NCAA’s? Hell, they barely felt it was time to cut Bubba lose from the football program! Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago I believe Berry is a great guy, bleeds Kelly green but just not a good head coach, results prove it. 2 Quote

It’s not coming if he misses the NCAAs this year. He’s out. There’s a very clear feeling surrounding the hockey program as there was the football program. There’s always a tipping point. Bubba’s was losing five in a row. Berry’s would be missing the NCAAs this year. It’s not one season, like you said, it’s his entire body of work. 1 Quote

What stuns me about Berry's body of work is his total inability to get his teams prepared and fired up for important games. The performance we saw last night typifies what we see time and time again in big games - no intensity, not playing for all 60, sloppy passing, and lapses in concentration. If this was just one year I could understand it but it is a constant for Barry and Staff. Time to make a wholesale change - what we see is so far from Sioux hockey it is almost unbelievable. 6 Quote
90siouxfan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I like nattys I like frozen fours I like playoffs I like wins What I don't like is watching the floundering inept soft play that makes it look like they don't belong on the ice. I think Berry is a good coach, a great coach if the word suits your definition, but a coach that can take the program where it needs to go? Nope. 2 Quote

Chaves needs to go, he gives out contract extensions like candy at Halloween. Armacost may have to step in again and make another needed change. 1 Quote

datameisterq Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It amazes me how people north of the Mason-Dixon line can even debate whether Berry should be fired. I was at the Bison game in Frisco, talking with an SMU law school student who mentioned how nice and fun it was to hang out and party with people from "up North." Stop it! Get pissed off, find the root cause of failure, and eliminate it. You have the greatest hockey arena in the world, and you can't hang a National Title banner every four or five years? As Mean Gene Okerlund would say, "Referee, give me a break!" 1 Quote

There is no end to the excuses and rationalizations some people in our fan base will use to explain away the problems this program is having right now. I for one aren't buying them. Agree with you 100%. Quote
