14U, 15O, and 16U teams play against the Power in a best of three series.  Last year only team to get to nationals was 15O.  Names you may recognize would be Quamme (GFC), Ulmer (RR), Jackson(RR), Larson (GPR), Suda (Formerly GPR). Eckart (Century), Clausen (GFC), Panzer (GFC).     

Team ND Tier 1 must be having tryouts this weekend to play Sioux Falls next weekend. Tough for Team ND to win in a series when they haven't even played a game together.

No.  TeamND teams that were formed last summer and played together all fall are now meeting for a practice weekend together and then going to play Sioux Falls Power programs the next weekend. 

It still seems tough to beat the Power teams that have played together all year, but it does happen, almost every year some team beats them in a best of 3 series and moves on to Nationals, a few years ago I believe TeamND swept 14/15/16.   

Team ND doesn't contest the 18u level as those kids DO have a tryout process that starts this weekend in WF, for an April CCM NIT tourney in the cities.  That team practices a few times and has had some good success in short order in that tourney.

Nice they at least get a few practices together.

Didn't have a great Select 16 camp. But his play since then has put him in line to get invite.

Be interesting to see what his stats were against Moorhead in the 4 games they played.  A good number of the other teams they played sucked this year.

My bad....missed that. So 1-3 this season vs the mecca of ND hockey.

I too always cheer for section 8...section 7 too for that matter.  Do yourselves a favor and watch Freddie Schneider from Edina.  2009 sophomore...next time you see him after this week will be in red, white, and blue for sure

All is fair in love and war....and youth/hs sports lol.

Hoist a state title for GFC, or beat Warroad for a Section 8 title.  I bet they both feel real nice.
