If I was Denver I'm not sure I would've done the shootout.

I’ll be at the game this afternoon between the Skatin’ Rebels, as DU announcer Jay Stickney was referring to them as, and CC. I foresee the Rebels either having gotten Mayotte and his players’ attention and CC blowing them out of the building or another upset due to UNLV’s hot goalie stealing the show making 70 saves.

Right?  Any UND fans gloating over this DU exhibition “loss” (cough, cough, Facebook group, cough, cough) will be the same ones saying exhibition games don’t matter should Manitoba beat UND next weekend.

I'm not willing to gloat.  Good for UNLV and their D1 push.  Huge in the long run for college hockey.  That game did good things for the growth of college hockey.  I'd love to see Minot State at the Ralph instead of the Bizens.

Denver was toying/show boating in the first and bam it was 3-0. UNLV did what they had to do keep everything outside, don't over commit, and jump on opportunities when they are there. There were a couple 2x1's UNLV had when there was blood in the water, if UNLV would have converted might have put it out of reach for Denver.

They have been supporting the club program but there was a recent public fallout with the university, similar to what we saw here, so thats a good question.
