I'm looking not only at next year, but also the following. If things stayed status quo defensively, you have 1 Junior, 4 Sophomores, 3 Freshman next year. I know I'm getting ahead of myself a bit, but who would be ready to leave early after next year? I wouldn't expect anyone. Where would Laurila fit the following year? McInnis?

I still feel you need to break up the underclassman log jam. For the portal, get the highest skilled RHD with one year left (or likely to turn pro after next year).

Good news doesn't happen here anymore. If Berry and company can't sell the program, then we are in big trouble now and in the future. I am tired of playing second fiddle to other programs.

Maybe he turns out to be just average as we all know the CCHA isn't the big boys.  That's like playing on a western ND high school team and putting up monster numbers then transfer to an eastern ND school.  Won't put up the same numbers

The younger hasn't even been drafted yet.  It seems pretty likely to me that he'll be back next year, as very few players, let alone dmen, move up in their D+1 year.
