McBuckets Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I really like the schedule this year, have Dickinson, SD Mines, and Waldorf as the non D1 opponents but Im a fan of the Bismarck location for a game. Then Colorado St, Norte Dame, and Bama at home for the high major games. The rest of the non conference schedule looks like we should be favorited/competitive in. 3 Quote
forksandspoons Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 The Colorado St. game is intriguing. They were very good last season, but lose 4 out of their top 5 scorers, which includes Isaiah Stevens, who shot 44% from 3 and led them in assists. Notre Dame was not very good last season, but will likely be much improved as they return a lot of production and their best player (Markus Burton; 17ppg, 63 steals) will only be going into his sophomore season. Their second leading scorer will only be a sophomore as well. And then there's the monster that is Alabama. Should be an awesome experience at the Betty. Overall a pretty good schedule IMO! 2 Quote
GoodGood Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Surprised no one posted about it yesterday but picked to finish 6th. Think that’s low but Summit will be even more wide open than last year. Hearing from people at SDSU that Oscar Cluff (transfer from Washington State) is looking like the potential player of the year Quote
FSSD Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Sounds like SDSU hit the portal big time. First came Isaac Lindsey, a 6-foot-4 guard from the Wisconsin Badgers, and Tuesday came the addition of Oscar Cluff, a 6-11, 255-pound Australian center who played last year at Washington State, Quote

forksandspoons Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 UND will finish higher than 6th. I expect them to compete for the title. Have to gel early! 3 Quote

South Dakota State University (SDSU) spent $50 million on the renovation of Frost Arena. This extensive remodel was supported by a significant donation from First Bank & Trust, which contributed $20 million. Is there anything specific you'd like to know about the renovations? sioux24/7 Posted October 9, 2024 Author Posted October 9, 2024 I think the 3-5 range is probably our sweet spot. NDSU will be good. SDSU looks like they’re reloading. KC brings back a lot. UST is always going to be tough with Tauer coaching. Oral Bob has probably the best guard in the conference. How do you see the rotation playing out? 1 - Reggie Thomas 2 - Eli King 3 - Trey 4 - Woodson 5 - Amar Mara, Panoam, Mayar and Mathews off the bench. Could see King shifting to the 6th man roll too. 1 Quote
forksandspoons Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Need a sniper other than Trey. Is it Kraft? Quote

Looks good, although I think Eli remains a starter all season. Good starting 5; the question will be what we end up getting from our bench. Quote
Goon Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 How did we get Alabama to come to the Betty? That's a big deal. Quote
