They contacted him before drafting him and he indicated he was excited to be a Flyer. Later says in interview that with his style of play he was born to be a Flyer. I think he expected to sign after his freshmen season and when he found out that wasn't the plan he skipped the prospect camp and hasn't spoken to or communicated directly with Philly for at least 3 months. 1 Quote

Well, he's accustomed to coaching players that are older than NHL, so there's that... wonder if his UW contract has an out for NHL job? Quote
scpa0305 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It’s insane to think that the same NTDP team that beat us and outshot the gophs (the next day) just got smoked by SF in the ushl and were outshot as well. Hockey is a funny game. Quote
Clark17 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Our WJC team v any D1 NCAA team would be interesting too. Or SWE Canada etc... Quote

UND played an exhibition against the US WJC team in the 09/10 season. UND lost that game 4-2, but outshot the US 34-26. That game featured a cool side story in that Danny Kristo (in his freshman season at UND) made the USA team and ended up scoring the 4th USA goal (ENG) against his UND teammates. He was the one that decided to have the camp in Grand Forks if I remember correctly. Quote

Kevin G Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Quinnipiac with a six-goal first period against Princeton. Useful. Quote
cberkas Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 These green (blue) lines look wrong. Glad they didn't let Michigan State do that (a darker green) a few years ago. Quote
brianvf Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Michigan puts up 12 on Stonehill. Ouch. ASU ties Cornell late, but then actually loses in OT. Quote
cberkas Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Miami loses Neaton to a injery Cornell sweeps Arizona State 4-1 and the ASU goal was a BS delay of game 5x3 Quote
cberkas Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 The 5 called on St. Cloud looked like the Denver player got a jack-in-the-box hit. And it got Denver back in the game Quote
Wilbur Posted January 14 Posted January 14 SCSU and Denver to OT. Someone needs to tell the Denver broadcaster this isn't a tie yet. Quote
