Nice guy does not equal good to great coach. Some folks struggle with that concept.

There's nothing to leak when there's no news.   I'm thinking there's a fair amount of second guessing going on as to whom it should be.  Hopefully it's because there are several very qualified men.

I hope so too. If the internal discussion is anything like what the discussion is on here, I have to imagine there’s some debate as to what UND football needs in their head coach in order to take the next step. 
 

My two cents, give us a proven winner at head coach. 
 

My rationale is simple, it can translate. Bubba won around 51% of his games at Duluth, then won 53% of his games at UND. Quite similar. 
 

I’d like to see a coach with a proven high winning percentage get the job. A guy with no head coaching experience is high risk, but possible high reward,  in my opinion. And although high reward sounds nice, you can’t go with high risk if you’re like UND and never terminate / fire coaches until they are mediocre for a decade plus … give me the proven winner at HC.

Ever since announcing that UND was going to D1, the AD has screwed up. Mussman was not a good hire and Bubba stayed too long. UND needs to get this right.

I've figured this whole ruse out: @gfhockey and @Shawn-O are playing us! 

gf will be HC and -O will be his OC. They're in negotiations now.

Wanless and Carl Miller were both very effective AD’s, both went on to Division I jobs during the D2 era.
